I am not sure TK is good for that level of fine manipulation. Otherwise you could TK pickpockets..

Time to make a power

Manipulation
sustained
Alter: moderate+distance (los)
control: difficulty of skill to be used
allow a Jedi to use a physical skill at a distance.

MAP would then count as three skills.

I guess there is another question. Is this a good idea? After thinking about it the power would be open to abuse.

There is precedent, as there are in-film incidents of using Telekinesis to manipulate objects in ways not strictly defined by Telekinesis. The best way to prevent abuse would be to make the difficulties relatively low for simple acts, but rapidly scale them up as the action in question becomes more complex. Throwing a switch or opening a door? Sure. Repairing a hyperdrive? Hope you have some CP to spare.

Perhaps the base 'called shot' rules can be used there..
From page 91..
Quote:
Add +1D to the difficulty for a target 10 to 50
centimeters long. Add +4D to the difficulty for a target
one to 10 centimeters long. Add +8D to the difficulty for
a target less than a centimeter long.

I sometimes try to when it comes to manipulating molecules.

I think whatever skill being used should also serve as some sort of cap to the skill. For instance, if someone was using TK to repair a star fighter, they couldn't get a total higher than their repair skill. And then MAPs should apply since the character is using TK to manipulate the object but also a repair skill to know what to do and how to so it.

That i can agree to. Also, shouldn't Proximity adjustments come into play?

Only if Proximity affects TK normally.

Maybe skill cap should be 1D of skill per 2D of Alter? So somebody with TK at 8D and Repair at 5D would be capped at 4D Repair skill?
