I don't have any favorite fan film site.

My top 3 is simple:

Troopers

Duality

Thumb Wars

You could argue that Thumb Wars is a professional creation, but I must say I consider it a fan film.

It's cheesy and it's a bit campy, but I love Pink 5

Star Wars: Revelations is probably one of the most ambitious story-wise. (and served as some of the inspiration for Falling Star)

Some pretty great original characters, tough Zhanna's acting is awful.

I.M.P.S. The Relentless Cpt 1 & 2
visually stunning, kind of a Troops 2.0 with more emphasis on VFX.

Reign of the Fallen
Great fan film, just a little slow, better acted than any of the others and makes great use of music.

The Fight choreography here is pretty great, but it shows its age

Art of the Saber - Arguably best lightsaber fight (canon or fan film) I have ever seen.

Broken Allegiance - The acting and lightsaber fights are rather campy, but the plot and the special effects are quite good.

The Han Solo Adventures - Fun animated short with a singularly awesome ending.

My favorite has to be this one, the film that won the Audience Choice award at the inaugural Official Star Wars Fan Film Awards in 2002:

Warning: Uncle Owen says "Luke, get your @ss over here right now." Otherwise the words and video are sutiable for work.

I was supremely disappointed at the fan film awards when this didn't win.

About two years ago, my teen-aged son made the following fan video. All three of my sons are in it, along with their friend.

Your sons are awesome! Question: Where did they get the music for that? Was that rendition of "Duel of Fates" from a video game or something?

Only 3? Man, that's tough. I watched every fanfilm on the internet for a good many years (until their number started to outstrip my viewing time). I think, if I was pressed for 3...
Legacy of the Jedi (fun tone, silly twist)
Duality (I love the score so much that I've used it in some of my own short films)
The Emperor's New Clones (again, some silly stuff... but some awesome stuff, too)

If you're perusing TFN (my primary fan film site) and not limiting it strictly to Star Wars, though, Almost There and Back Again and Grayson (it's AMAZING) would get two of the spots, though. Smile

And oh man, if Tydirium or How The Sith Stole Christmas was ever actually finished, they might upset the list...

Pink 5s (again, if only it were ever finished) and anything by the Dastoli Brothers are high on the list, too.

He said he found that music on YouTube somewhere. Thanks for the compliments! Very Happy
