|
|
This will be our first Star Wars d6 adventure, and I want a good solid non-combat encounter to start off with a bang and get everyone involved, learning the rules, working as a team, etc.
There are 5-6 players, so I need something big enough for everybody to do something...but not so big that it isn't resolvable in a few rounds. Bigger and better adventures await, but this will get them engaged quick!
The characters will have just met, so this will be their first chance to interact with each other.
Here is the idea:
Characters arrive at starport and within minutes hear a loud metal-on-metal screech followed by screams. Turns out the harness holding a very large power coupling(?) which is being installed in the spaceport has snapped. Several things must be dealt with quickly (help will take awhile to arrive):
- injured workers from snapped harness must be moved/cared for (strength / first aid)
- workers in immediate danger of being crushed by unstable device (strength)
- cut off power to prevent explosion/fire (technical)
- climb up and reattach harness (dexterity, mechanical, etc)
- control crowd in the area (perception)
Please help flesh out the idea further ....or add new twists/turns on the basic concept... Thanks! |

Well the climb up is climbing skill (STr) not dex..
BUT why not also add in
Open shut doors (to assist in evac of people) Security
Copy security tapes (to prevent later tampering with if legal gets involved) comp prog/rep
Several different types of aliens to deal with (alien species and languages) _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

- for control crowd I would include (command and persuade) rather than just base perception
- have them use a cargo skiff or loader to move debris out of the way, lift people up to more easily reach the coupling, provide temporary support or catch the coupling if it falls (repulsor lift or ground vehicle operation)
- quickly reprogram a binary load lifter to assist in rescue efforts (droid programming)
- carry away badly injured people to safety or to a hospital in a hurry (repulsor lift or ground vehicle operation) |

You might also add in intimidation, con or bargain.. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |
