Looking in the complete vehicle guide i wonder why there are only 3 listed ground vehicles with 'wheels'.. Juggernaught (and the clone troop version) and a scouting droid thing..
With all the desert environments, you would think there would be all sorts of dune buggies and the like.

Mostly, that particular niche is either swoops or sail barges / skiffs of varying kinds. Such as what the Sevari of Sevarcos II use.

Also, I suspect The Lord G(eorge) thought wheels wasn't particularly Star Wars-y.

I'd say that's an indicator of how effective repulsorlifts are, in that they can do everything a wheeled vehicle can do and then some. Wheels on the Juggernaut, as near as I can tell, provide the stability of direct contact with the ground (rather than a landspeeder's traction drive that has to actively work to maintain stability) combined with high straight-line speed.

There is also this from Star Wars Force Commander.

Personally, I prefer the APC from Aliens, but with a sliding door on either side, so the embarked troops can unass under cover of the vehicle if they are taking fire from the opposite side.
