Looking in the complete vehicle guide i wonder why there are only 3 listed ground vehicles with 'wheels'.. Juggernaught (and the clone troop version) and a scouting droid thing..
With all the desert environments, you would think there would be all sorts of dune buggies and the like. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

Mostly, that particular niche is either swoops or sail barges / skiffs of varying kinds. Such as what the Sevari of Sevarcos II use.
Also, I suspect The Lord G(eorge) thought wheels wasn't particularly Star Wars-y. |

I'd say that's an indicator of how effective repulsorlifts are, in that they can do everything a wheeled vehicle can do and then some. Wheels on the Juggernaut, as near as I can tell, provide the stability of direct contact with the ground (rather than a landspeeder's traction drive that has to actively work to maintain stability) combined with high straight-line speed. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. There is also this from Star Wars Force Commander.
Personally, I prefer the APC from Aliens, but with a sliding door on either side, so the embarked troops can unass under cover of the vehicle if they are taking fire from the opposite side. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation.
