 Capsule:
The Tartan-Class Patrol Cruiser was something of a qualified success for Damorian Manufacturing, in that while it was quite useful as a light patrol and anti-starfighter platform, it was relatively defenseless against other capital ships. However, its basic design was a sound one, and Damorian Manufacturing began looking for ways in which to improve upon it. The Tartan II-Series is the result.

Rather than a single class of ship, the Tartan II utilizes the same basic hull in various configurations to perform specific missions, including torpedo attack, escort carrier and assault transport. In addition, Damorian included an improved hyperdrive and and upgraded the sensor systems. While the Tartan II has only been adopted in limited numbers by the Imperial Navy, it has proven popular with many system defense forces and Imperial-allied powers.

The basic posted stats are for the Patrol variant. For the other variants, use the same stats except as noted.

				| Really like this as I hated the original ship's stats - no weapons forward or back ? seemed to me like major design flaws . | |

Indeed, and that was the reason I did this stat rewrite, as there are plenty of ships in the EU that look cool but have stats that leave you scratching your head.

 Classic Era.

If you have to ask, you can't afford it.
