I think there are mechanics for these things in the Rancor Pit's New Jedi Order sourcebook conversion PDF

Hmm...I seem to be having trouble locating it, I'm sure it was here somewhere.

I'll get back to you.

[Edit] sorry, seems I didn't get the NJO stuff I have from here, I thought I did. I've defintely got some Shadowbomb stuff somewhere, I'll keep looking for you.

Okay, here are the Shadow bomb related things I have, I'm not sure where I got them from on the net, I thought it was Rancorpit, but it seems not (so appologies to who originally came up with these conversions)

This XJ3 Xwing has damage for Shadow bombs listed under its torpedo launchers.

XJ3 X-Wing (NJOS, page 140)
Craft: Incom T65XJ3 X-Wing
Type: Space Superiority Starfighter
Scale: Starfighter
Length: 12.6 meters
Skill: Starfighter Piloting: X-Wing
Crew: 1
Crew Skill: All appropriate skills at 6D
Passengers: None
Cargo Capacity: 35 kilograms
Consumables: 3 days
Cost: 315,000 (new), 220,000 (used)
Hyperdrive Multiplier: x1
Nav Computer: Astromech droid programmed with 10 jumps
Manoeuvrability: 4D
Space: 10
Atmosphere: 415; 1,200 km/h
Hull: 5D
Shields: 2D (plus back-up generators)
Sensors:
Passive: 30/0D
Scan: 60/1D
Search: 90/2D
Focus: 4/4D
Weapons:
4 Heavy Laser Cannons (fire-linked)
Fire Arc: Front
Skill: Starship Gunnery
Fire Control: 4D
Space Range: 1-3/12/25
Atmosphere Range: 100-300/1.2/2.5 km
Damage: 7D
3 Proton Torpedo Launchers (4 heavy torpedoes each)
Fire Arc: Front
Skill: Starship Gunnery
Fire Control: 4D
Space Range: 1/3/7
Atmosphere
Range: 100/300/700 m
Damage: 10D (14D if loaded with "shadow bombs")

And here is some kind of Force power used to deploy the shadow bombs, whether this reflects the NJO novels info or not...I don't know.

Shadow Bomb (NJOS, pages 140-141)
Alter Difficulty: Special (see below)
This power may be kept up.
Required Powers: Telekinesis.
Effect: This power was developed in order to stealthily deliver non-propelled proton torpedoes to Yuuzhan Vong targets. Using the Force, a starfighter pilot can release his missiles, guiding them to the target with his thoughts alone. The difficulty of this power is the difficulty to hit the target (based on a range of 1/2/4), with the difficulty further increased based on the target's speed (SWD6, page 127). The Force-user must keep this power up until the torpedo hits its target. A torpedo guided this manner that hits a Yuuzhan Vong target ignores any protection normally afforded by its dovin basal shields.

Hope these are of some help to you.

Your guess is as good as mine...obviously the mechanics make the shadow bomb 4D better than the standard Proton Torpedo, but the why and how are beyond me.

There isn't a PDF conversion, but I have remembered where I got the NJO stuff I have from - here;

http://www.verminary.com/rebellion/newjedi.html

Also you'll probably find various stuff from the NJO scattered throughout the other conversion books

It could also be that the removal of the drive allows the inclusion of more explosives.

Since using TK to injure others is normally a DSP giving event, i wonder how shadowbombing *using a TK based power* does not give one?
