Hi!
I was looking around a bit for some sort of forum part where you can talk about stuff that doesnt really concern d6 star wars playing. Have i missed some threads or are there none?
I was gonna ask a few questions about where to buy old rpgs like these in the US, since i am going to visit a few cities for a month. I was thinking about writing in Gaming Groups since that thread is the most related to "the real world" =P
So, where do i post? _________________ "Ke nu'jurkadir sha Mando'ade..."

There really isn't any that I've seen. This is pretty much it. Seeing as you're in a d6 Star Wars community, you're gonna see a lot of discussion over d6 star wars. =D
Anyways, hope you enjoy your trip to the US! =D |

Yeaa, strange though that there are none.
I might as well ask here then, and if i am terribly evil by asking in this "wrong" topic then the admins can delete this post =)
The bigger cities i am going to are San Francisco, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City and New York. Basically i am looking for shops who sell lots of tabletop rpgs, and the older and more unique stuff they have the better. Anyone heard of any, and where if you have?
Thanks, i think i will enjoy it alot =) _________________ "Ke nu'jurkadir sha Mando'ade..."

I didn't know we had admins. I thought we were an autonomous collective. _________________ __________________________________

When I went to New York, Midtown Comics was a pretty cool comics store.
Midtown Comics Times Square

Midtown Comics Grand Central

We used to have an off topic section but it got deleted ages ago due to flaming and the like.
Org should remember it too. _________________ Don't waste money on expensive binoculars.

I would target some Roleplaying Conventions while you're out here. If you're gonna be here long enough, Gencon is the mother of all conventions in the US, and is held out in Indianapolis every August (first weekend I think it is now). |

I thought there was one, but I remember no flaming. This place has been pretty civil. I remember one or two instances of very heated discussion, possible name calling, but it resolved itself. _________________ "I take orders from just one person: Me!"

You can try:
Gamescape
333 Divisadero Street
San Francisco, CA 94117-2208
Although last time I was in, their selection of older stuff had gotten cycled out. Used to have a decent collection of WEG books, but they got rid of those, not sure if you were looking for anything else. |

I believe it was a discussion about the third Matrix film (newly released at the time) and a specific scene's parallels to a moment of religious significance. From there it degraded a to a religious ummm debate.
But that was some time ago.
I asked Loc about it because even though I'd posted in that forum my post count didn't shrink when it vanished so I suspected it was just hidden.
His reasoning for deleting it was focusing on Star Wars _________________ Don't waste money on expensive binoculars.
