Considering it's size and the engines, I'd say use the stats for the Consular-class c70 refit as a baseline. Then adjust the stats accordingly. |

Looks good with one possible exception. 8) The crew of 4 seems too low for a 200 meter long combat oriented capital ship.
Some examples:
60 meter Corellian CR20 Troop carrier has crew of 6
150 meter Corellian Corvette has 30-165 crew listed
200 meter Pelta Medical Frigate has crew of 900
I do note that the 115 meter Consular Cruiser Charger c70 diplomatic transport only has a crew of 3, but it is a transport not a warship (and it always seemed to have too little crew to me anyway).
I don't know if I saw the episode which may have made clear the crew size, though I would still think it should have a larger crew. |

The Gallofree Transport is a pretty big ship with a pretty low crew, isn't it? _________________ __________________________________

cheshire, the Gallofree Medium Transport has a crew of 6, but it is only 90 meters long and is a transport .
I am distinguishing between combat ships which would naturally have larger crews for redundancy, ability to run 24-7 shifts, and to fill in for combat losses (which I guess is redundant with redundancy) and transport ships.
Bayonet Light Cruisers are the same length, but have a crew of 120. I think a Bayonet LC is probably a better model than a transport.
Just my .02 credits. |

I agree that the crew should be bigger, but I was trying to work with the existing information, and comparing it to the Consular.
What number would you guys suggest as a mid-way compromise? _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

OK,
Here's my suggestion. As I said, I'd use something close to the Bayonet Light Cruiser.
Bayonet has 8 Heavy Turbolasers, 6 Laser Cannons, and 2 Tractor beam projectors.
Republic Light Cruiser has 4 Quad Lasers (starfighter), 4 Turbolasers, 4 concussion missile launchers
Call that 16 weapon systems vs. 12 weapon systems so maybe 12/16 or 75% of the Bayonet's crew of 120 = 90 crew.
For comparison I looked at two smaller, but well armed Correllian vessels.
1) The smaller (150 meter) Correllian Corvette has 30-165 crew which gives an average of 92.5 crew (though the privateer version only has a crew of 50).
2) The (185 meter) Corellian Engineering Corporation Support Frigate has 40-180 crew which gives an average of 110 crew.
Based on these three vessels (two of which are Corellian Engineering designs like the Republic Light Cruiser) I would put the crew at about 100.
Given how much larger the body of the Republic Cruiser picture appears compared to the bodies of the Corvette and the Frigate (here I assume the engines are about the same size) I could even see an argument for a much larger crew. Does the Republic Cruiser have a hanger bay or just the docking tubes mentioned in the Wiki article? Hanger bays might account for the larger volume.
You may now feel free to open fire on my logic. |

I'd peg it at 48 Crew, 16 Gunners (For 54 Crewers all togeather), and 80 to 120 Passengers (troops)
EDIT: I'd peg it as having a fighter squadron and a couple to a few shuttles as well. _________________ Not the droid you're looking for....... |

Actually, the crew would be twenty, but gunners get seperated from other crew. I once did a thing comparing the crew on a Star Destroyer in the X-wing Strategy Guide and the RPG stats and when I added the gunners I got the strategy guide's full compiliment.
Still twenty is pretty low for a capital ship. And I agree with Gry, Looking at Falcon's suggestion of 54 total makes sense. _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!

Why does a 200 meter long ship have a crew of nine hundred? Ninety, sure, maybe 180 including medical crew, but 900 seems far too much.
But I think that Star Wars ships have been overestimated in both size and crew for some time now. |
