"The difference between life and death for untold trillions," Garolf says. He then holds up a hand before anyone can tell him how many or in the base. "I know, there's not that many here. But the New Republic wants to use this base to take the fight back to the Vong. We succeed and we may be saving not only our own lives but untold trillions. We fail and it's likely the Vong will be able to push even deeper into the galaxy towards the core. Once we're relieved it'll be up to those troops here to hold this position, and the planet. They fail after we finally leave, that's not our fault." _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!

"So overlapping fields of fire with the anti vehicle weapons to the rear to give them a greater survivability and flexability with their tracking shots? Keeping in mind we have to keep them well out of the way of any 'splash effect' for the rockslide. What about personal? Who is best suited to do what. Someone will need to trigger the rockslide and who gets the personal shield?
Sir what do you think of something like this?"

OOC: Just having a look at the weapons at out disposal -
The most basic model of E-Web has a damage of 8D and a maximum range of 500m (fifty squares on the map)
The Anti-Vehicle Laser Cannon has a short range of 10-500 meters and a long range of 10km (1000 squares on the map). However they only do 2D+2 speeder scale damage (4D+2 character scale) they have a fire rate of 1/2 and they only have a body of 2D (speeder scale) so small arms has a very good chance of damaging/destroying them. While they do have 1D in fire control they need 4 man teams to run and if targeting infantry they'll get -1D (total) due to scale.
I think we need to keep these things well back from the front line because they don't pack much punch, they're fragile, and they mean you've got a group of four standing around them.
Can we create walls and the like with crates and other junk in the time before we're spotted? Ideally these things need to be behind a wall really far back to keep people safe. _________________ Don't waste money on expensive binoculars.
