Is anyone going to run star wars in indy? I would like to play a non sparks adventure if someone will run it. There is several places to make an impromtu game.
Just checking if anyone is going... |

I thought about running a game somewhere... Just at a free table. I would rather play but ...
I've never played, just ran d6 star wars games. I'm not the greatest gm... even far from that, but just to play with some new blood would be cool. |

A bunch of us will be at Gencon playing Star Wars this year. We're playing Sparks becuase it's the only game in town, but we've discussed just meeting somewhere and doing a nice home-style Star Wars game.

August 18th-21s in Indy.
Just a block from the best Irish pub you'll find this side of Boston!

Not this late in the game, at least not within walking distance of downtown.
However, there are tons of places near the airport and others within 10 miles of the convention center that are reasonable. You either have to cab it in or park for the day.

I lived in Indiana for 30 years and the year before I move to NM they bring Gencon to Indy. Damn the luck!

I'll be going to GenCon for the first time this year. Me and a couple buddies of mine that played in my last Star Wars game. I'd really like to find a good game to join, or even run one. Not much on the roster as far as D6 Star Wars according to the official schedule I got.
Anyone been there recently? How hard would it be to run a game there if there were people interested? I know you're supposed to pay for a talbe and what not, but aren't there provisions for spontaneous gaming? |

Scott, I went last year.
As for spontanious gaming... Well... It was everywhere.
Shouldn't be hard to get a game going at all. |

If you look under SparksForce7 d6 listings there are a ton of games, usually two d6 Sparks events for each slot, every slot of the convention as well as a Interactive on Saturday night. You can keep your character throughout the convention which is nice. I'm running the Interactive and many of the games there, so feel free to ask for more info.

Man, I was angry when Gencon left Milwaukee. I can't blame them though. The city wasn't going to be expanding hotel or convention space as fast as the convention needed. Sniff sniff. Gencon come back to me! Waaa! Ok, I'm over it again for now. |
