As the KAWD is already lying prone it repositions itself to take advantage of the cover of the tray and continues to observe the flying creature. It hauls the rifle it caught with it's braid back to a more secure position and re-equips it's disk launchers, mainly to ensure that another burst of speed doesn't fling them off the back of the truck.

OOC: Just taking this round to sort itself out. Trying to stay in cover and out of danger.

Ali

Ali tosses the upper torso of the creature out of the vehicle, any weapons it might be carrying and any intelligence that the other droid might want to try and gleam from studying it are are all lost in the toss. Ali then moves forward towards where the remaining Jedi and Ailyn are.

KAWD

The KAWD looks over the edge of the bed, seeing the creature falling back as Reylan rocket's the speeder forward.

The team screams along, time passing faster as they move much, much faster than before the attack. At last both Deavon and Ailyn tell Reylan to stop as they have reached their destination. They look around, spotting a cave mouth nearby. About a couple hundred meters off to one side they spy a rather large starship.



Ailyn looks at the ship, knowing full well it's the one that brought her here.

"Their prepping for lift off," Cailum says, concern in his voice. Indeed, it looks as if it's about to lift of. The whine of the repulsorlifts fill the air. A lone figure can be seen striding towards the ship. Both Reylan and Ailyn recgonize the arm as Rohlan's

Reylan nods and says "Hold on" again, this time sure the crew will take him seriously. He keeps the speed up for as long as he safely can, and still decelerate enough to stop before the ship.

"Question: Do we need to stop that ship from lifting off or are we content with letting it leave and searching the cave for the information after they have left."

As it asks the question the KAWD settles into it's brace position, the braid adding to it's stability and it sights along the rifle at the loan figure.

OOC: Bracing and aiming, I know the figure is out of range right now but as we haven't stopped he may not be by the end of the round.

Reylan

Reylan ignores the KAWD's suggestion and rushes towards the ship. The ground ahead suddenly erupts in a plume of sand. Reylan barely has time to steer around it before crashing in at full speed. A second eruption, and a third throw him further off from the ship. Through the sand he can just barely see the Mandalorian sprinting for the ship.

Ailyn

As Reylan races towards the ship, Ailyn looks around to see if there's anything they missed. She suddenly remembers Rohlan's practice of having a couple of Basilisks in the air to provide air support for when the Kandosii is preparing to depart a planet.

The ground ahead of the speeder erupts in a plume of sand. She jerks her head up to see the Basilisks, firing down ahead of the speeder but not directly targeting it.

KAWD

The droid braces itself, targeting the loan figure. But before it can even consider pulling the trigger the sand ahead of their speeder erupts, spewing sand up into the air and forceing Reylan to swerve wildly. It looks around wildly, spying a pair of strange looking objects in the sky the likes of which it's never seen before.

(OOC: Reylan failed to bring up lightsaber combat.)

Reylan looks up at the ships and admires them. They are a well designed ship that he would love to try one day. He forces his attention to the task at hand as another plume of sand rises just off to the side of the ship and continues evasive manoeuvres toward the other ship. If they can get close the air support will not want to fire on them...

All who are paying attention just barely see the armored figure reach the ship and enter it. It then begins to rise into the air. As soon as it appears to be twenty meters up the smaller craft break off their attack and return to covering the ship.

Reylan brings the speeder to a halt, realizing they have no chance now of catching the Mandalorians.

"We could never make it back to Anchorhead in time to get the Raptor and you're fighter in order to get them before they reach orbit," Syllri says to Reylan.

Unknown being no longer a consideration, unidentified flying objects have begun to attack. Stealth is no longer an option. Evasive maneuvers in progress. Actions: Continue to brace, use vehicle as cover. Study unidentified flying objects for possible weaknesses to exploit

The KAWD hunkers down, keeping itself braced while it views the flying objects with it's multi-spectrum vision attempting to determine what they are. If they're in range the KAWD will consider aiming/returning fire.

The KAWD observes the objects. As far as it can see they appear to be some kind of heavily armed airspeeders. Eight meters in length, they appear to have grasping claws that it believes must have at one time been used for carrying cargo. Which leads it to believe they weren't originally armed. Both are at least three times the distance the pulse-wave rifle is capable of hitting at.

Reylan looks around but can't seem to find anyplace. However, the small craft don't appear interested in them anymore and he realizes if the fire and lightning breathing creature comes here it probably will make little difference where he parks it.

Pulling the speeder closer to the cave, Reylan gets out and waits for the others.

(OOC: Both Reylan and Roth sense an approaching threat.)

Reyalan parks it in a position that will allow them a quick get away, and hops out of the vehicle. he says "Something is coming" and looks in the direction that they just came from to see if the beast followed their dust trail.
