Reylan and Ailyn

"Lovely," Cailum replies to Ailyn. He then turns his attention to Reylan. "Push on, if this is an attack on Anhcorhead maybe we can at least pull that creature off of the attack and onto us."

Reylan throttles all the way up, pushing the vehicle as fast as it can go. As he does so Ailyn sees the creature rise from the ground.

Daevon and Roth

Daevon looks up over the edge of the vehicle bed and sees something rising into the air. He nudges Roth and points in the direction of what he's seen.

KAWD and Ali

Both droids now detect something besides the mutant Jawas on the horizon that they are now quickly approaching. Whatever it is appears to be rising into the air. It could be some kind of starship from what they can see thus far.

(OOC: You've been out of Anchorhead for a few hours now. You've got a canyon wall a hundred meters to the right of you. How fast do you want to go)

Reylan nods and takes his rifle out and passes it to whoever is in the passenger seat saying "Cover us if they get close."

Reylan

Reylan moves closer to the canyon wall, bringing the speeder to within ten meters of the wall. He watches as the creature rises higher into the sky, beginning to approach them.

Daevon

Daevon watches ahead of the team. A terrible winged creature approaches, it's two heads searching the ground for something to kill. There appears to be a figure atop it, some rider not afraid of the fell beast.

(OOC: As fast as you can safely go and accelerate to is pretty much going to be cruising speed, so you're moving at 70; 200 KMH. No rolls needed for Very Easy, Easy, and Moderate terrain. Ailyn, who is immediately beside Reylan, has her own rifle)

Reylan keeps his senses peeled for danger, and his hand on the accelerator ready to increase the speed as they move along the cliff face.

The KAWD ceases its scans and readies the rifle. It moves to a braced position against the back of the cab directing those without ranged weaponry to get out of the way.

"Announcement: Concentration of ranged fire may be necessary, beings and/or units with appropriate weaponry should move to engage the larger more dangerous targets. Those beings and/or units with only short ranged weapons should move to defend those attacking targets at range."

OOC: Studying the starship intently and getting to a position where it can shoot but still has cover from the cab. Using the braid as an anchor/stabilizer if needs be.

"And what do you purpose we use to succesfully attack a starship with?" Giric asks the KAWD.

It doesn't matter as what the droid took to be a starship it now can see is an enormous creature.

OOC: Can the KAWD see the rider yet?

"Correction: Vast aerial target is organic in nature. It is not a starship but some form of flying creature. While it appears formidable it is demonstrating true flight which indicates it is unlikely to be as heavy as it appears. Speculation: It has hollow bones. Speculation: It has reservoirs of lighter than air gasses to enable flight. It is likely to have weaknesses in order to achieve flight while being so large. Prolonged study, dissection or simply concentrated firepower and deduction may reveal the creature’s weaknesses. Scanning creature now. Additional theories on how to dispatch this creature would not be unwelcome. Targeted shots to wing membranes are likely to impare flight and allow gravity to aid in the dispatch of this creature."

The KAWD looks at the creatures but can't make out any possible target on it as yet.

(OOC: No, you don't see the figure. In fact the only thing that let's you know it's living is you can just see the wings flap. You can't make you much detail yet about it.)

The KAWD continues to study the approaching creature and lines up the rifle. All of it's facial photoreceptors strain to pick out as much detail as possible in the hope that there may be a weakness that can be exploited.

Not having had time to properly train himself with the disc launchers, Roth simply opens himself up to the Force, allowing it to begin whispering to him about the dangers around them.

((OOC: Bringing up Danger Sense. After that, Roth will bring up Lightsaber Combat, but will do so over the course of three rounds to keep from failing))

Ailyn shakes her head at Reylan, indicating that she'll use her own weapon. She'll then take a shot at the first target of opportunity.
