|
|
Those of you who downloaded my "Ships Stats" PDF, should know what I'm getting at here: A huge compilation of all Star Wars aliens in one book, with stats and pictures.
I had already done such a book before, but it's already very outdated with all the new species i've discovered lately. So I'm at the final stages of organizing all the aliens stats and pictures to do the actual book editing process. I just want to be sure I have everything I can have before starting that, because adding things later on is way too much pain.
I was waiting for WOTC to release a book with the Ep3 aliens, but I'm getting tired of waiting. And since these are only 3 new species, I decided to get things going without those stats.
I would like your help locating some items that have eluded me so far. If you have any of those, or if you have some rare thing you think I might have missed, please add it here!
MISSING PICTURE:
-Priapulin
-Talid
-Sharu
-Toka
-Vashan
-Oblee
-Ruusanian
-Tsil
-Caridan
MISSING STATS:
-Brizzit
-Cliffborer
-Dulok
-Florn Lamproid
-Ongree
-Qiraash
-Roonan
-Siniteen
-Sy Myrth
-Teek
-Xamster
-Yam rii
-Frog-dog
-Makurth
-Polis Massan
-Utai
-Pau'an
-Boltrunian
-Mirialan
-Bouncer
-Annoo-dat
Also, I don't know if I should put both the DarkStryder and the Yvarema Majjvara in this book or in the Creatures book.
And as a final request, I like to put a movie quote in the back cover, like WOTC does w/ their books. But I can't think of a good alien-related one. I thought of "I've flown from one side of the galaxy to the other, I've seen a lot of strange things." but that's a little vague. I don't want to use "It seems we've picked up another pathetic life-form", because WOTC already used it in a book. Any ideas?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

The Sharu and the Toka are the same thing, just altered by thelife crystals. There should be a pic of the Sharu as Toka in the Essential Guide to Planets and Moons. That same essential guide should have a pic of Caridians. The Bouncers of Ruusan are in Jedi vs. Sith. The Tsil should be in the Essential Guide to Alien Species and might also be in The Essential Guide to Planet's and Moons.
I'll see if there aren't some pics online. _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!

Thanks a lot Hellcat. I've searched online and could find nothing. If somebody has any of these books, I'd really apreciate a scan of the picture.
EDIT: I could find quite a lot on Ruusan, as well as the Bouncer (of which I found a picture, but no stats). I know the Ruusanians are near-humans, so I don't know what I'm looking for, do you know the name of any ruusanian characters? Lord Hoth isn't one, is he? |

I'll see what I can do about scanning the ones I mentioned. And no, Lord Hoth is not from Ruusan. Even the Ruusanians themselves aren't from there originally, they emigrated there long before the Amry of Light and the Brotherhood of Darkness fought their battles there. _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!

Thank you all very much, all help is deeply appreciated.
Ufh! Finally! I just finished typing up ALL the stats from ALL the books we have (which at this point, are almost ALL the books in existance). Boy, that was a painstaking job.....
Well, I've got all my stats typed, all my pictures organized. I guess now I'm only waiting for some extra info. I'll try to hold off the compiling job as long as I can stand it, waiting for those missing pics and stats, as well as the last books being scanned, and maybe some official info on Ep3. |

OUt of curiosity, Gry, are you also getting the stats from aliens in the Adventure Journals? I know that there are a few aliens in those books that aren't in other books published by WEG.
Also, there is a batch of people over on the SWRPGNetwork Holonet Forums that are working on an Ep 2 and 3 sourcebook (D6 forum). I can't remember the exact species they have, and the stats are far from "official", but they may have stats on a couple of the aliens you're looking for. Or you may be able to use some of the people that have posted on that thread (Clone Wars Sourcebook) to gather more information or pics.
Hope this helps some. |

I've included all aliens from all the books in the main list of the PDF-Sharing Thread, so that includes "The Best of Issues 1-4 of the Adventure Journals". If you have any other, please send it over.
I'll check that forum for anything useful, thanks.
Edit: Just so you know, as it stands now, I have about 440 alien species! |

Question Gry, is the Priapulin the semisentient spider creature from either Yavin VIII or Yavin XIII? If so, I can get you a pic from the Essential Guide to Alien Species. If it's the pilot creature from Rogue Planet who flies Obi-Wan and Anakin to Zonama Sekot, I can still get a pic from the same book.
Well, here are pics I promised I'd see about getting. Don't like them too much because you can see whats on the back side of their pages, and I'm not sure putting a blank page behind the one being scanned would have helped.
Caridans from the Essential Guide to Planets and Moons.
Toka (Sharu) from the Essential Guide to Planets and Moons.
Toka (Sharu) from the Essential Guide to Alien Species.
Tsil (aka Spook-Crystals or Smokies) from the Essential Guide to Aliens Species.
Edit: Just grabbed the Essential Guide to Alien Species. The Priapulin are the species of the pilot that flew Obi-Wan and Anakin to Zonoma Sekot and is on page 99. So I'll have to see about scanning it for you. _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!

Wow! Thanks a lot Hellcat, this is really helpful! Keep sending me whatever you can get your hands on. And about the transparency issue, just a quick levels correction and i've got them looking great. |

Well, unless the Vashan is one of the two native species to Wayland, I'm afraid I'll only be able to get you an image of a Priapulin. _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!

That's alright, your contribution is already more than I expected. I believe some of those aliens don't even HAVE an image.... |

If you are making a book like that I would ask you to please not include any kind of player made races, found here or on the Rebelroleplayers site. I usually find them to be very much off balance. |

Well, all the ship's in Gry's Starship Stats seem to use stats WEG did or use conversions of the D20 stats WotC did. I'd bet that's what Gry is doing here, using offical stats and conversions of D20 stats. _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!
