Ok, it seems that
Ankhanu wrote this two years ago...has anything happened since? Any new stats in the Alien-stats 'project' that has not been updated into a pdf?

Stat wise, I'd treat them like other near humans, 12D, 2D/4D, move of 10.
IF one is to attribute the ability to control others' minds to an actual ability and not simply rumour, I might stat it out as something like:
Special Abilities:
Strong Minds - All Rattataki are immune to Rattataki mind control, and the difficulties to use the Jedi power Affect Mind or Control Mind against them are one level higher.
Skills
Perception - (A) Mind Control - Force-Sensitive Rattataki can control the minds of other sentients in a manner similar to the Force power Control Mind. Difficulties to use this skill are as described for the Force Power by the same name, using a single skill roll at the highest listed difficulty (Control, Sense or Alter). Unlike the Force Power Control Pain, this ability may not be "kept up".
As with the use of the Force power Control Mind; use of this ability confers a Dark Side Point.
Story Factors:
Violent Culture - Rattataki culture has evolved away from the Galactic society on a harsh world. Rattataki are as violent as their planet, and are well known for their combative skills and gladiatorial flair.

I dont know anything about the species except the fact that they are all very combative. Perhaps a +1D to close combat skills, something like the Gamorrean bonus but to a lesser degree would fit their description. Perhaps one could balance this with a penalty to some social skills, as the Rattataki tends to turn to violence as a solution.. |

There will be more information on them in the Unknown Regions book. _________________ __________________________________

Ok, it seems the book is out. Lets hope some enterprising gamer (with the know-how) converts them into D6 then.. |

If someone does convert the stats to D6 I'd love to get my hands on them. _________________ Do or Do Not ...there is no try. -Yoda |

My mistake. We're going to see more information on the Rakata, for which we already have stats. I don't think we're going to see any official stats for the species you're looking for. However, a quick Wookieepedia search tells me that they're an offshoot of another race. I'd look to that race as a baseline. _________________ __________________________________

The base race is called Umbaran.
This is Sly Moore.

Should be easy to find stats for.
I found them in Alien Stats page 161.
Hope that helps. _________________ Do or Do Not ...there is no try. -Yoda |

Though she sure seems to fit in with the other species up there.

It is probably just a cheap and easy way to make a female character disturbing. It's never the warm, friendly types who are designed with that look. |

Yeah, also they go with another cheap and easy way of making a person look disturbing. They shave the eyebrows on two of them. Shaving the eyebrows is a classic movie trick to make someone look creepy without it being immediately obvious why. _________________ __________________________________

Putting yellow contacts in is a more obvious trick... |
