From this site i got Grys equipment book, and neither that, nor Gundarks list a RANGE for the Zenji throwing needles...
Anyone know what that would be?

They're a thrown weapon so I'd be tempted to say the range works as some sort of multiple of strength.
Something like:
0 - (strength x 0.5)m short range
short range - (strength x 1)m medium range
medium range - (strength x 2)m long range
So for a 3D strength human the range would be
0-1.5m, 1.5-3m, 3-6m
They're supposed to be virtually unknown weapons in the galaxy though. Only the Mistryl Shadow Guard uses them.
