When i was in the army the first time in the 90's we had a player that played a Wookie named Knarr.
What was extraordinary was that he saw us playing SW and asked us what we were doing. He gave us a puzzled look and told us he had never seen Star Wars. so...
We stopped playing and made him watch episode 4. He was so stoked that he wanted to play our game and be a Wookie. He was making up a character BEFORE FINISHING THE MOVIE! We began playing immediately afterwards... _________________ D&D 5e DM and WEG Star Wars GM for two kids who will hopefully carry on with RPGs for years to come

...the Force is strong with this one!
That's awesome, what a great way to introduce someone to Star Wars and roleplaying at the same time. _________________ Han - "How're we doin'?"

I actually had a roommate a few years ago during my bachelor days who had never seen any of the Star Wars films. I still had them on VHS at the time, and I don't believe that they were even out on DVD yet.
Anyway, I was shocked.
"But, it's your culture..."
So I go away one weekend and come home to find out that he watched all three of the original films.
"Those were....AWESOME!!!"
I still had my game books, but I hadn't played in years.
Damn. I should have gotten him to play. _________________ "He is a very shallow critic who cannot see an eternal rebel in the heart of a conservative."-G.K. Chesterton |
