| I've looked at every source I can find and for the life of me I can not find an answer to this question, What does the plasma torch boarding device weigh? The characters in a privateer game I run want to add one to their ship. I figure with the amount of power this thing is putting out there has to be some kind of weight penalty. My initial thoughts are somewhere in the 5 ton range (the same as the Incom turbolaser from tramp freighters). Too high? too low? any thoughts would be appreciated. |

The power issue is one aspect of it's weight requirement, the other being its size. I would say 7-10 tons of space would be good.
