I never felt the need to go beyond the original. The rules are light and simple to keep the game fast paced action like in the original trilogy(the only trilogy in my mind). That game is the reason my high school homework didn't get done. Rolling Eyes

Revised and Expanded is where I've started. I look at things like the spped codes for ships in the first edition books and I just wonder why not simply go with something that says flat out this is the speed your after rather than having to roll to get the speed. But then as I've said, I started with the R&E so I really don't know if you had to roll to get the speed or what when I look at something saying Speed 5D.

I have a few ideas kicking around, but I'm not going to put in any real work on them until I'm sure I can get players. I'm hoping to get 4-6 players. Maybe if everybody sees how much fun old school Star Wars is, they'll want to play to. Right now, everybody on the board is playing new Star Wars. They are all missing the fun of blasting stormtroopers!

Though it's kind of slow at the moment, I've been running a Star Wars play-by-post game on rpol.net for awhile now. Xzil Maru from this board is one of the players. S'been a lot of fun.
