Orrallynn smiles at the younglings, realising that they won't know that he smiled, he immitates, as best he can, a human smile. He then lets a rock fall, but replaces it with a youngling. He doesn't add the youngling to the juggling, just holds him off the ground and sways him back and forth. Turning the fun into an exercise, he drops more rocks and picks up more younglings, moving them gently around. He picks up as many as he can, being careful not to drop any of them, or if any of them show any discomfort he puts them down. He cycle through them so that all get equal time.

The first one you lift squeals in fear when he is lifted off the ground, so you put him down. You sense it was more a shock of being randomly lifted off the ground then anything. A braver one comes forward and says "DO ME!" You then lift him off the ground and he squeals in delight. A few parents come running in but seeing that they are just having fun the choose to just supervise, small smiles creeping across their faces. The children love playing "superman".

ooc: you can only lift two children at a time safely, so I assume

Bored with the talking and waiting and frustrated by no-one responding to his E-Web question Tiny allows his eyes glaze over and escapes into an action hero fantasy

Vong flee before Tiny as he sprays obscene amounts of firepower from a modified and barely handheld E-Web. The acrid smell of blaster discharge fills the air and the sound of the E-Web’s thunderous rapport is almost overwhelming. The blaster bucks in his hands almost as if it is alive and struggling for freedom but he keeps it steady and drives the Vong further and further back.

Sweat drips from Tiny as the modified backpack radiates heat and the effort of controlling the gun takes it’s toll. Unusually for Tiny's violent fantasies he can dimly perceive that he standing in front of the base and protecting the entrance rather than just applying gratuitous violence for violence's sake. He can faintly hear the sounds of cheers and accolades from the helpless squatters over the rhythmic fusillade.

Tiny snaps back to reality with a snort “You gotta fix me up an E-Web Hrar!” He almost yells. Realizing from the stares that he may have zoned out and then interrupted loudly he adds “It might help.”

What the hell was that all about? I’ve never have an audience in my fantasies before.

Yes the E-web are definately an asset, I'll put my money on the defense canons as well. But I'll need some time to go over the rifles themselves.
When we're down to it, in the middle of the fight that's what people can and should rely on. Heavy weaponries are nice but like I said they are taken out first.

Drakes turned to Tiny when he mentioned his own personal E-web. Manpower was short, and the idea of a creature being able to take care of one on his own could prove itself useful.

I'm sure I can do something for you in that regard, big guy. What's your name again?
I used to build weapons. Not that we have any resources here to do so but with some tinkering I could make a generator fit onto an harness kind of backpack. There's no way a single man could carry that though, but...

He looks at Tiny from head to toe. It seems like you may count for at least two of three men...

Major, if we're to prepare for a siege, I need to speak with my people. Get them alert and ready for the fight. You've fought those creatures before, right? Tell me more about them. What's their weakness, how to take one down? What not to do against them? What to look for?

Rownn glances towards Tiny as he has his outburst, but says nothing. He listens to Drakes' questions to Garolf and frowns, considering them, but waits for the Major to respond. He leans against the wall as the two speak.

"That's the real problem right there," Garolf says, "what are their weaknesses and how to take them down. To be honest I'm not entirely certain, we're still learning about them. And I don't mean just this team. They don't seem to use regular technology but biological devices. They have these staff like things that can inject their opponent with venom, we temporarily lost Tiny there to the venom of one of those things as it paralyzed him. Then there's the little fact that rather than fire blasters they throw bugs."

At this Garolf rubs his stomach where Rylah had to remove the bug after the mission to Dantooine.

"And I'm not talking something dead or something small. Those blasted things act like homing remotes, they miss you and they circle around for another pass. If they smash into you they then burrow in, trying to get a little deeper as things go. Painful little monsters.

"But they do seem to have this.... honor problem that might be exploitable. They seem to fight each other for the right to fight a Jedi. And they really seem to hate the Jedi for some reason. Hopefully the same is true for others, they'll fight each other to go one on one with any of our warriors.

"Still, we are learning. For instance, their ships seem able to remove our shields. I believe Hrar and Jo found that they can do something with either the repulsors or the inertial compensators to counter act this. Also, their ships seem to use singularities to move and provide them with shields. But if you overload the sigularities they'll fall and you can blast away at the section of the ship where they fell."

Tiny grins widely at the idea he may yet get a personal E-Web. Somthing niggles at Tiny's mind he can't get past the idea that using living creatures as weapons is stupid, something alive needs to be cared for and can die, his concoction may have been harder to make that he remembers but there has got to be something that can kill or injure the Vong's technology.

Tiny turns to re-introduce himself to Drake. "I'm Tiny, the Vong are fftrong but if their technology iff alive then can't it fftarve, get ffick or die? I think that haff got to be a weakneffff. Do we fftill have your fftomach bug Garolf? I want to ffee if I can fftun it."

"I'm Tiny, the Vong are strong but if their technology is alive then can't it starve, get sick or die? I think that has got to be a weakness. Do we still have your stomach bug Garolf? I want to see if I can stun it."

"I don't know, you can check with Rylah but I think it's possible she turned the blasted thing over for examination when we got to Ithor," Garolf tells Tiny.

Zinn has been observing the Jedi carefully throughout their trekking, watching how they react to every situation that has come up. He has tried to make himself a model of serenity, noticing that nothing seems to bother Orrallyn.

While Garolf and Drake become better acquainted and begin to work at coordinating the efforts of their respective groups, Zinn finally pipes up. "Ah, sir? We might be able to use Banshee on some of the repair work that needs done. Granted, he's mostly fit for repairing spacecraft, but he might be able to be of SOME help, especially if there is a possibility of getting that Headhunter spaceworthy again.

"Besides that, how can I best be of help?"

The Vong seems powerful with little to no weekness. Somehow Drayke wasn't buying much of that honor thing against Jedi. Teh way they destroyed entire populations, he felt they had no honor.
The bug story catches his attention.
Sound stupid to ask, but have you guys try an animal excluder on the Vong? the Merr-Sonn one is pretty efficient. I mean if their weapons are alive like you said, and have senses, they might be sensible to it. It might not put them down but repel them would be enough to gain a serious advantage...
I'm gonna see if I can find some in our survival equipment.
How about blaster fire? that's mainly what we have. Is there any spot my guys should aim at or not at?

Tiny wrote:

No we use talkies to communicate. Their low frequency make their use barely detectable by most common used sensors.

Kid, we have many repair to get busy with, the headhunter is yours to play with if you have nothing better to do.

Continuing his conversation with Garolf
So, Major, what was your initial plan of action before finding out we were here? We stand no chance against a full army of those Vong. We got to force them in small groups at a time and take them down quickly. And we got to find a way to defend the outside to take down any heavy artillary they may throw at us.

Rownn responds to Drakes' question on the Vong vulnerability, "They wear strong armor even capable of turning aside a lightsaber blade. About the only part that's not protected is their head. I don't like going for such mortal attacks, but from what we've seen, they offer no quarter, so it may be our only recourse.

The group looking at the weapons:

A kid comes up behind you guys and taps the Wookie on the leg saying "Mommy told me to get Drayke. Its supper time"

Drayke: You are the one who distributes the food to the rest of the people to ensure fairness and rationing.

Orrallynn + Kids:

One of the mothers looks at her chrono and says "All right kids, thats enough, time to go wash up before you go eat. Then adds to Orrallynn "You coming?"

Trustrum: your watch beeps signalling meal time.

Note: All the inhabitants of the mountain always make an effort to eat together to help keep the spirits high, and keep the kids on a regular schedule. Schedules make hard situations more bearable.

Rownn is oblivious to the child's approach, paying attention to Drayke and Garolf. When the child taps the Wookiee, his exhaustion, week of fasting and the injuries he sustained on Dantooine leaves him startled. With the surprise his heart constricts abnormally, shooting pain through his entire body. The tall Wookiee falls to his knee clutching his chest as his vision clouds around the edges. With a grunt, his vision blacks and he slumps to the ground.

Tiny looks at Rownn, brow furrowed in concentration, he was sure he’d caught the wookiee word for vong, Rownn used it often but the rest of the sentence was a complete mystery. He’d have to wait as see what someone said in response, or see if Garolf would translate.

Suddenly Rownn’s expression of weary calm vanished to be replaced with a twisted grimace. Tiny had imagined Rownn’s face contorted with pain many times in prison after lights out while he stared at his stump and tried to get to sleep. Usually in these fantasies Tiny was the cause of such agony but of late these musings had lost their attraction and started to leave a bitter taste in Tiny’s mouth.

Tiny’s eyes narrow and he lunges forward with surprising speed, his arms darting out like striking serpents to catche Rownn before he hits the ground and in one smooth motion he hoists him roughly over his shoulder as though he weighed nothing at all.

"Oh no you don't, no dieing for you!" Tiny snarls as he starts to run, thudding past the shocked child with a speed that belies his size.

"Uffe the walkie talkie thingff, tell Rylah ffee'ff got a new patient." He yells back to the group as he lumbers off to the sick bay at high speed.

"Uffe the walkie talkie thingff, tell Rylah ffee'ff got a new patient."

OOC: Shouldn't be too hard to catch Rownn, Tiny was looking in that direction, his collapse was gradual and Tiny's got long arms so he can probably reach him with less than one or two steps.

OOC2: I think the Vong amour doesn't cover their arms either
