Later today I'll see if I have time. I've got a class to teach tonight, and I'm currently grading papers, updating grades online, and preparing a lecture.
So, I'll see what I can do. It really is an inexact science, though. For armor, you just have to compare official stats from both sources, then try to see if the new armor is better or worse than what we've seen in the past, and try to make it fit.
Weapons are similar. But those I might be able to set up a damage calculation chart for those. _________________ __________________________________

Sorry, I just didn't get to it today. But I did (through much trial and error) find the best substance to help remove black dry erase marker from white stucco walls.
I have the two-year old to thank for that lesson. _________________ __________________________________

Hey, there is no pressure whatsoever. You do what you can, when you can, if you want to.
...so, have you converted to D6 the mechanics of stucco wall dry erase marker removal? What's that under? Technical? _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

I'll get armor conversions posted later. Here's the basics on weapons and equipment.
Tomorrow I'd like to take a personal crack and converting the armor add-ons. They look so fun. I've already got a few notes on how to make things more adaptable.

I'm now on eight pages of the stuff, so I'm hoping there isn't too much people think should be done with the little rule patch I had to put on it. _________________ __________________________________

Sorry, only got around to it now. Wow, that's very good work, congrats.
One thing, I think increasing the "Equipment size" of a weapon should cause an increase in the difficulty of using it. Something like +3 or something...
Just clarifying, all equipment and weapons comes with a free equipment slot, so you can install a simple universal upgrade without needing to do anything to the item previously, correct? You only need to go stripping and enlarging the item if you want more or more comples upgrades. _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

Increasing the difficulty might make sense for weapons, though for things like datapads and comlinks, I'm not sure if that would apply. But it does seem like an easy way of dealing with the change for weapons. In the d20, they deal with it by increasing the size and weight for calculating encumbrance. But since we don't have that, then the +3 sounds reasonable.
You are correct in saying that most equipment usually comes standard with one stock upgrade slot. However, stripping and resizing is necessary if you want anything more substantial. _________________ __________________________________

I agree that normal equipment suffer no penalties for being bigger. They are just bigger and clumsier, but that doesn't affect its use, its more of a roleplaying thing. _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |
