|
|
hey all, got a question.
the atmosphere move on the stock YT-1300 freighter is listed as 480/800 kmh.
is this errata? shouldn't it be closer to 280/800 kmh, like a Neb-B frigate?
i've looked around and haven't found any references to this being a mistake.
this seems a little odd, especially considering the Millenium Falcon's atmospheric speed is 365/1050 kmh.
any help or clarification would be appreciated.

You found an error or typo in a WEG book?!?!?! But they're so meticulous about catching all those...I wonder what happened...that's gotta be the case, there's just a flub in the numbers. One of my fave errors is in Gundark's those, the Prax "Blast and Smash" and the Mini-Grenade launcher pics are swapped. And apparently, WEG doesn't bother to correct those mistakes, b/c the pics in GG10 Bounty Hunters and Gundark's are both wrong. |

Your right, but its plastered all over WEG books, I checked the 2nd Edition Rule book same thing. The Rebel Alliance Sourcebook, same thing this time for a modified YT-1300. uh... go figure!!! _________________ "Well hello Mister Fancypants. yeah, i noticed it was everywhere as well.
even on the online sources that list stats from the books.
weird.
i think someone would have caught this by now.
or everyone just ignored it/mentally restatted it on their own.
guess not too many STOCK YT-1300's in play, huh. |

I don't think very many people actually USE the speeds listed in KmH, so it makes the comparison very easy to overlook. When speed actually comes into play, it's usually in terms of combat situations, so moves are important. Outside of combat, well, speeds become more relative.
My advice: don't worry about it and use what's reasonable. _________________ Hotaru no Hishou; a messageboard about games, friends and nothing at all.

good advice and i shall. i'm taking my pen and marking in the 280/800 speed.
i've only run two sessions of the game, all planet side.
i would image that the atmosphere speed of a YT-1300 would be used waaaaaay less then the space unit.
thanks guys!
