I don't know if this helps, but I think your PC should grow up.
Rather than having the attitude that you're "out to get him", I think he should just accept the situation and look for alternative ways to deliver the cargo on time.
For instance, he may opt to hire another charter ship to help him carry the cargo to its destination thus cutting into his profit or making him complete the contract at a loss. It's his/her choice whether or not keeping the contract is more important than profit. If the client is Jabba the Hutt - I'd complete the contract at a loss! _________________ "We attack under cover of daylight. That would be fine, if the player in question was of sufficient common sense (not likely in the example given earlier, but one can hope). Perhaps I'm too willing to cut such an obstacle. _________________ The man who thinks he knows everything is most annoying for those of us that do. |

They roll their 3d6.
1-1-1 Something really bad or out of favor happens to the pc when they press, maybe this mechanic is tougher than he looks, and is not used to taking crap from space trash, he pulls his blaster now you have a situaytion as his men come to his aid, and your ship is in his d*mn shop!
6-6-6 The mechanic takes a second look at you, "Wait aren't you "xxx"'s boy? Well I'll be a son of a sith, you are! Cmon lad let's see if we can't get that ship of yours up and out of here, and you have to tell me how the old man's doing. Been ages since I seen him.
1-6-3 The aforementioned, I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine a bit of a hassle that is also something good.
1-1-6 Something bad happens, but if the character is on the ball, they can turn it around.
6-6-1 Something good happens tainted with a bittersweet taste.
Etc ad nauseum. It has gotten to where I drop the dice and the situation resolves itself.

Swindle him out of more money and then tell now thats evil.
Well i like the ideas above of more adventures, alternatives and offers to help the guy out.
Also how off the pc to put on a pair of overalls and assist himwith his current job to fast track his ship? _________________ "To find our future, we must look to our past" |
