Hey, I've been thinking of hosting a forum I am currently hosting at freeforums.org on Lunarpages.
They also have a deal with Lunarpages. Did RancorPit start at freeforums?
How much bandwidth does this site use up a month? I am confused with bandwidth needs... Is 3500gb a month sufficient? Do you guys come close to using it up? |

3500gb is WAY more then you need.
Each page is approximately 30kb, so thats about 34 pages per mb, 1024mb per gb
So thats 121,856,000 pages per month
so, do you think people will view 121 million pages per month on your site?

site badnwidth is usually quite minimum, until you start hosting files. I host lots of files for people (50+mb per file) and im way under 1gb per month.

Yup, what he said. Unless you are doing what Vong said and are hosting a bunch of files that a lot of folks want or plan on starting your own business where you hope you'll be selling lots of downloadable content, then you've got way more than you need.

Actually, I haven't updated my post about Lunarpages in a while. They now offer 1,500 GB Storage and 15,000 GB Bandwidth. You will never use this much bandwidth in a month.  I think this site (along with about 8 other sites we host on the same account) uses less than 100 GB per month for bandwidth.
