I was going over Gry Sarth's Force Powers PDF, and I have a question about how the Battle Meld/Force Meld power works.
I'm using the first known display of this power - the Solo kids using it to fly through the asteroid field in Vector Prime. And I'm using the Essential Guide to the Force to help me.
We have the following set up:
Anakin Jacen
Jaina
Anakin starts it off. I don't recall with whom he first linked, but for argument's sake, let's say it's Jaina, the more experienced pilot of the group.
Anakin Jacen
↓
Jaina
Once that happens, Jaina links with him.
Anakin Jacen
↕
Jaina
Then we have Jacen
Anakin→Jacen
↕
Jaina
Anakin↔Jacen
↕
Jaina
Now here are the questions. First, does Jacen receive Jaina's perspective directly from Jaina, or does Jaina perception has to go through Anakin first. Using a diagram to help illustrate, is it like this:
Anakin↔Jacen
↕
Jaina
Or like this:
Anakin↔Jacen
↕ ║
Jaina════╝
Secondly, if the second diagram is true, do Jaina and/or Jacen need to know the battle meld/Force meld power as well in order to be a part of the battle meld and for their individual perspectives to be shared with the other members of the group?
I know Jacen learns this power by Star by Star, but when he and Luke were fighting at the beginning of Refugee, I don't know if Jacen was the one who started it, or Luke, or if they both used the power to link themselves together.
According to Wookiepedia, it said in Anakin's entry that at Dubrillion, Anakin rediscovered Battle Meditation during the Battle of Dubrillion, and then initiated a technique called Force Meld between his siblings. So shouldn't battle meditation be a prerequisite for this power? |

I think that the first appearance of the power was actually in the Tales of the Jedi comics, though I could be wrong. One way or another, the power pre-dates the New Jedi Order series. That being the case, I would say that it is the author's responsibility to conform to the limits of the power, and not the other way around. |

Hey guys, me and a few freinds where thinking about making a net book based around some of the stuff in our campain, I was just wondering which one you would like to see first:
"Shattered past" (An AU version of star wars, much much diffrent than most campains)
"Rebel's guide to SpecOps" (Not to be confused with SpecForce, if you don't know the diffrence read Fragments from the Rim)
"The Imperial paranormal ivestigations Bureau (IPIB)" (Basically about an underfunded man in charge of some of the wierdest goings on in the galaxy).
I can't promise they'll turn out like you might expect, or that I'll be able to post them sometime soon. |

A high quality special ops book would be interesting. I was really disapointed that Cracken's Rebel Operatives was not the "spooks" version of the SpecForce guide. I would love a high-quality book on the Rebel Special Ops.
Heck, if I wasn't so blasted busy with two jobs, two kids, and two other fan projects, I'd probably volunteer to help with it. |

Eh....High quality? Um...Not sure if I could do that, I'd just be putting together a lot of information that me and the players have used, elaberating a bit, and that'll be about it. But as for volunteering, meh, I got free time, some freinds, and way, way, way to many Star Wars books. Acctually is their any offical information on SpecOps even mentioned anywere besides fragments from the rim? |

About a week ago, someone, I think cheshire or Gry Sarth perhaps, posted a pdf detailing the new ships that were presented in the Starships of the Galaxy with converted d6 stats. I've been looking around to try and find it, but I can't. Does anyone remember where I could find the link?
Secondly, I know that a Mark II version of the Acclamator was produced towards the end of the Clone Wars. Does anyone know when exactly that happened. Like, which month or after which battle? |

If anybody's interested, I edited the file to include the alterations that had been discussed, some other minor tweaks, and adding my own pics:
Starships Stats Saga Edition - D6 Conversions
