Dude... I don't know if I should feel envious of you, or frightened for you... it boggles the mind, and begs the question: "How did THAT happen?"

Just happened that I guess. Frankly I think they're all agents for the Bureau of Homeland Security spying on me to gauge whether or not it's true that I'm the owner of Weapons of Mass Seduction.

However a poll has revealed that calling myself: "Dave Davidson, their portal into the realm of Lucasian fantasy." Would not have helped me at all...

Gotta get me one of those hats though... man...

There is always more than a few that have never heard of soap and water. Makes me almost vomit.

Things went well this weekend. The Valley of the Jedi thing worked out okay. The Jedi was able to bring her friend from the Academy back to the light side of the Force, who was then captured and tortured by the sith for her failings (she got to watch), her boyfriend turned to the darkside to use its powers to thwart the villians ("It doesn't control me, I'm my own master!"). Her friends were killed (or so she believes) and as she stands next session to face down a Sith Lord of imense power she has nothing in her camp to fight him with.

Her allies are all dead or turned to the Darkside, the Jedi Order has cast her out, and she faces a foe she can't possibly hope to defeat... alone.

I love this game.

What she doesn't know is that her allies are alive and are plotting a rescue for her and her Darkside boyfriend. Her tortured comapnion is also still alive... someone has been helping her from the shadows...

Well me and my spouse are women, and our overall group is 3 women 4 men. Female Director, either me or my spouse. Two couples and and 3 lone wolves (one married and ones a virgin at 28 ). I would say our virgin who is a large former marine black gentleman standing in at 6'4" or so and weighing in muscular, is by far the most squeamish. Even a slightly sexual innuendo and he is all blushes, he doesn't mind it, but we definitely take advantage of it.

But I would say at times all three of us ladies are worse pigs than the men. Oh, and I would say my baby has the best rack, Tristan second and me last (pudgy with a large c isnt spectacular, I'm slightly heavy but far from fat).

Umm not sure why I felt like chiming in on that one, but hey..."submit" away hehe ^_~

Gawd, if I had a dollar for every sexual innuendo tossed out during our games I could retire. Or games have a very adult bent to them. Not X rated adult, the more darker and serious type of games that deals with serious issues and the serious ramifications of those issues on the people at large.

Sex, slavery, drug use, cursing, we have it all. I don’t hold back on describing the very bleak gritty situations that the players face. The games are generally epic heroics and usually involve ordinary people thrust into extra ordinary lives of adventure. I lean towards romantic, dramatic and action themes.

A good mixture of all three keeps them coming back for more every week.

Same. Our original flyer for the game shops told players if adult themes bothered them they need not contact us.

Our games are also adult oriented. I feel that things like Sex, Slavery, Drugs, and Torture make the game feel more gritty, real. The players really don't want that Black Sun ship getting them, they really dislike being in Hutt space, and they really really don't want to be taken by the Empire if I am running Imperial times.

Man I really envy you GMs that have female gamers in your group. I'm not talking about someone's spouse that just playes because her man does. I'm talking about an actual gamer chick. They are few and far between, but when you find one they are usually dynamite at the gaming table.

And I've found in general that the more visceral games are usually the ones you remember most. Games that hold back and deal with watered down themes can be fun too, but I feel like everyone's imagination is restrained in those games. Any game where a PC cares about the choices they have to make is a good game in my opinion. Fostering a feeling of dread about the dangers of the galaxy, for the right reasons, can really step up the realism factor.

I wish I could be a player in your game Revenant. It really sounds cool.

EDIT: Oh, as for the original topic, I'd never allow such a thing unless I planned it to serve a very specific purpose in the game, such as providing an excuse for a PC to suddenly become force sensitive.

It's what you get when you play 13 years of World of Darkness and then try to look at D&D or Star Wars in a PG/PG-13 light... I just can't do it anymore. So my games ar egenerally 'R' in their theme with the usual disclaimer of "If you can't handle it, go get us a pizza..."

Games are more interesting, like you said when people have to be concerned about how their actions can affect the world around them. Characters who face the villain know that if they pull that "I'm not afraid of you, I've nothing to lose" tough guy crap, that the villains next response is usually "What about your friends? What do they have to lose? Or your friend's families? Do you consider them or their suffering when you tell me you've nothing to lose? The moment I destroy you, I'm destroying everything that's ever crossed your path. You may have nothing, but they do."

Works every time.

I like evil so real that when you whoop its @$$ there is cheering at the table. Ceremonies are held as the villains character sheet is drug around the yard by horses before the player erect a funeral pyre and burn it while spewing venomous curses and insulting the NPC lineage while it burns.

That's how I know that I've my job.

Once again, I wish I could be there... Maybe you should try making some posts about some of the games you've run, to show us a little of how you go about running it.

I remember I thought the GM was slightly pervy for telling me that that this chick drugged my character and the next thing my character knew, he and her naked in bed.

I think I was slightly pervy too and thought it was turning out to be a pretty good adventures.

Hell, we were 14 and virgins at the time.
