I agree SoF. For a character I made a while back, "Jackson" became "Jaxûn" and voilà! Instant Star Wars name. _________________ "Mind what you have learned. Save you it can." --Yoda

Coolness.
I think I read somewhere that Lucas does that on occasion too. Biggs was Bill or something like that. _________________ "My schooling not only failed to teach me what it professed to be teaching, but prevented me from being educated to an extent which infuriates me when I think of all I might have learned at home by myself." - George Bernard Shaw |

IF you're looking for good names for certain species but just aren't that great at making something up that sounds like a certain species you should pick up a copy of Galactic Campaign Guide. In the back there are names for some common aliens like wookies, Duros, Zabrak... _________________ wookies+lightsabers=bad day

I have to say I always have trouble coming up with names for my characters regardles of what I am playing. It's usually the hardest part of character creation.
In fact the scout pilot for the Empire was named Lt Mechas... I hadn't come up with a first name and Mechas is actually a Star Wars planet (It's the one that IG88 took over if you read the tales of the bounty hunters book)
He was still a cool character to play despite having no first name and working for the Empire |

If you're having trouble, ask your group for help. Often times you can come up with something really cool, or just something kinda on the silly side. _________________ wookies+lightsabers=bad day

How about P.I.T.A? He's a protocol droid I came up for an adventured I GMed who was rather obnoxious and really there to annoy the PCs. Name's an accronym for what his character was to be towards the PCs. |

Try this! And hit the "Twi'lek" section. It's pretty good. |

Loc,
You may want to get that link some where under the "Tools" forum so it doesn't get lost. _________________ Team ORJ |
