And the other thing to think of is if he regains his force connection does all of the consequences of his actions while sever flood back to him along with the force (IE does he gain all the darkside points he would have gained while severed once he is 'cured')
Something to think about

Good call…and if it does that would serve to counterbalance his new beefed up power level, and he would probably have to jump into another “quest” for atonement. _________________ "My schooling not only failed to teach me what it professed to be teaching, but prevented me from being educated to an extent which infuriates me when I think of all I might have learned at home by myself." - George Bernard Shaw |

Shadowtroopers are my own creation that my GM borrowed from me, then changed them around a bit so I woldn't be oo hip on their abilities.
Essentially, imagine a Stormcommando with minor force skills, and lots of Dark Side Points.
Most of their Jedi-esque abilities are clouding minds, controlling minds, enhance attributes, magnify senses... To make them even better at being stormcommandos.
Oh, and they can combine fire with no penalties due to a Sith-like "Hive mind." Very nasty... _________________ "Let your anger be like a monkey in a pinata"

Jeeze, they'd frighten my "Gods of the Universe" group!
And it takes alot to scare Crunch and Oota!!!
Well, Oota is kind of wary of Cap & Ball Pistols, but there's a good reason for that... |

The Shadow trooper name and concept is not as unusual as you think

Well, I don't know about that, but the name wouldn't be that hard to come up with. After all, I did independently, but there's no telling how many had before me.
They are buggers to kill though. And harder to see comin' (especially for non-Force users)... _________________ "Let your anger be like a monkey in a pinata"

Well in the game they are basically Stormcommandos with Force powers & sabres…in cortosis coated stealth armour.
Tres cool. _________________ "My schooling not only failed to teach me what it professed to be teaching, but prevented me from being educated to an extent which infuriates me when I think of all I might have learned at home by myself." - George Bernard Shaw |

Thank you!
I must say though, they are a real bummer when you're not rolling too well. You know how it is... not having a good day or the dice just aren't rolling your way, and BAM, you are now sleeping with the mynocks! _________________ "Let your anger be like a monkey in a pinata"

I've had games like that...not just limited to SW either. However there it seems to go both ways My esoomian character (2d technical no technical skills) has never failed a technical roll I love the wild dice sometimes |

Early in Bernas' jedi career, he just couldn't do a Force Leap to save his life!
Vines, branches, cables, sails, rip-cords, heck, even spiderwebs cold foul him up. It just got to the point that Bernas became a "walk through" jedi and allowed trouble to come to him. If trouble ran away, well, he'd get that trouble later. _________________ "Let your anger be like a monkey in a pinata"

Intresting. very intresting. If it weren't for those little side effects, I'd have suggested something like the character of Callista from the novels. She was stripped of her ability to touch the Force with one exception, she could touch it only if she turned to the dark side. But you're case seems rather unique. Maybe if your character dies then the body will fade away like Ulic's did in Redemption. _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!

I think Bernas has no indication of leaving the mortal coil just yet...
Besides, he is unlimited by what he can do now. _________________ "Let your anger be like a monkey in a pinata"
