I'm thinking about building a Wiki for the RPGs I play, including fluff material and stats derived from official material and homebrew. Is anyone opposed to my using material from the Pit in the Wiki?
While it will be a publicly accessible wiki, I don't intend to advertise it in any way, so traffic will be low. _________________ Hotaru no Hishou; a messageboard about games, friends and nothing at all.

Have you seen Grimace's site?
http://www.dimfuture.net/d6universe
It sounds like fluff and home-brew stuff you have would be perfect for it. |

Well, feel free to submit some stuff if you've got it, then. You could be one of the few that I don't actually have to drag the material out of if you do submit stuff, which would be really nice. |

I probably will. A lot of my homebrew stuff is sort of untested, or insufficiently tested, especially my rules alterations... and are in partial draft status, so I hesitate to put it anywhere but my own sites, but perhaps.
The wiki's URL is http://ankhanupress.com/wiki by the way, if you want to take a peek. It's in very rough status right now, as I just installed the software, and am still figuring out configuration, let alone content _________________ Hotaru no Hishou; a messageboard about games, friends and nothing at all.

You never put up my BattleTech conversion after I posted some 'Mechs on the Holonet.
For Ankhanu, what other game systems do you run/play that you're going to include? _________________ Xynar

I've personally played d6 Star Wars, d20 Star Wars (only once), D&D 3.x, White Wolf's last system, Marvel Super Heroes, Robotech, and a few others, and will be including some non-official games that I (or my friends) have had in development.
Additionally, it's going to cover board games and some video gaming.
Anyone that feels up to adding info on other systems (and those listed) is more than welcome.
I even intend to include information on specific game campaigns, the characters (PC and NPC), equipment and settings created for them, etc. _________________ Hotaru no Hishou; a messageboard about games, friends and nothing at all.

It's Wiki-licious! hehehe
Good start, dude! Don't worry about it being rough; most things are, at the beginning. |

I have to ration things. Since I basically get NO submissions, I have to take the things I've been given and ration them out, putting them up a little at a time. If I didn't, I'd run out of things to put on the site and the only stuff I put on there would be things *I* created.
So don't worry, I still have your stuff, and stuff from garkhal (wolverine on the Holonet) still to put up, plus stuff from others, but if I can get people to submit things, then I wouldn't have to be as stingy with how often I do updates.
As for the ideas being untested or not tested enough, Ankhanu...no worries. That's one of the the things that I don't want people to worry about. If I wanted finalized projects, I'd be just like so many other sites in that I'd have a couple of completed things and then my site would dry up and blow away. The D6 Universe is for any ideas for D6, complete or not, tested or not. If you feel they're not tested well enough, just include a little ditty in the submission letting people know that. And then maybe people will give comments when they try it out and let you know how it worked for them.
I'll take a look at what you have on your Wiki, and I guess I'll resort to plucking things from it and asking you to post them if you're not planning on submitting anything. It's, unfortunately, what I end up having to do for a lot of things. |
