No, that's the same. Either they thought that it was fine, since it's spelled with a K instead of a C, or they thought it was a harmless silly name (perhaps Stupid is a better translation)...
Anyway, George really seems to have it in for us... _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

for a while I played SWG the mmorpg... i think I was one of the few that really liked it...
We had a guy in our guild, who had three characters...
His original- Obi-moe Kenobi
then he picked up a second account and created a Wookiee named Moe-Bacca.
Finally after he unlocked his jedi toon He created a really small Bothan named "Bothi-Moe"
And to top it all... He had a YT-1300 named the "Moe-Llennium Falcon".
He was alot of fun to play with... |

see, one character, i will mention quite frequently, had a name, but the group defeated him before he said it. Until the day he died, he was forever

In my first gaming group we had a wookie named "Snackabar."
That name always made me crack up. Han Overfist is a good one too.
On a related note:
I had another gaming group that used 'mimics' in character creation. Basically a mimic is a RL person that persons character looked like; not exactly identical but generally looked very similar. We used the mimic because it helped the players visualize one another's characters.
I used to always 'test' the GM by mentioning: "My characters mimic is going to be Billy D Williams, ok?" or "Hey can I use Alec Guiness as my jedi's mimic?" I almost got away with Billy D. _________________ "Could someone please Jury-Rig my Wookiee?!"

Before I knew of SWRPG by WEG, I had played battletech with some friends.
I had made my character using the mechwarrior rpg book, but had taken so much time that i had pretty much 2 minutes to pick a name, cause they were starting and about to include me in a conversation.
I decided on two common names: Bill Smith

A character in a game named their wookie Cruchaweesy after the taco bell cheesey gordita crunch.
We had an Ewok named Lurdo, Which in ewok means idiot.
I played a monk(D&D) named Favodduequeg Naujjatequovil.
My friend plays a Chaddra-Fan named Gree, but is telling people his name is Chad the Chaddra-Fan _________________ I maybe be a duro with an eye patch, but I can sure AS HELL FLY A SHIP!!!! |

I first got into SWRPG when a bought a second hand copy of 1st ed.
Right into the book on the Smuggler character template (the ones you're supposed to PHOTOCOPY!!!) was scrawled "Tan Solo".

My better half's little brother had Bob the Gay Paladin in a DnD game I played in. He roleplayed with a lisp, it was hilariously inappropriate and so very non po-co.
I think for the most part I have been saved from bad names save one from a Werewolf:TA game I was running. The Ahroun named himself Wicket (yes like the Ewok) was metis and his deformity was "Midget crinos" so he would be trying to intimidate someone go into Crinos get laughed at and proceed to dismantle people at the knee. The players often acted out in histrionics whenever he ran at enemy's yelling Wicket-Jawa-Jawa!
*sigh* I miss Shep (The players name, a friend who now is 2 states away)
Oh I almost forgot we had a one shot visitor to our groups WW:TA game who played a Nuwisha named Andy Pants, the players name being Andy and the name coming from the spot on Nuwisha character sheets where you get to fill in
Pants:
People called him Candy Pants.

A friend of mine had a human outlaw called 'Braxton Bolt' (he blew himself up with a thermal detonator).
Then there was his legendary villains and vigilantes character 'Battlepede'.
Then another guy had a rolemaster character called 'Larmak' (not a bad name in of itself) but as he was a burglar the moniker 'Larmak the turd burglar' stuck....
Good times! |

In the original group of people we had playing Star Wars, we had a guy who's name was just FTW. (He thought it was fabulously hilarious becouse it could stand for f*&# the world, or free the weed.)
My first Star Wars character was Manson Gwar. I also had a Scottish character in White Wolf Dark Ages named William MaGachy. I should have known better than to pick a Scotsman named Willey.
Then an old boss of mine had the YT-1300 on Galaxies named the Century Chicken. _________________ Jedi don't die. They're just metaphysically inconvenienced. |
