So I have made my own rule for the "alternative ways": explications:
- my PCs enter in a secret Imperial base by the ventilation, and after a moment they begin to slide more and more faster...
- so I made a lot of way and they "choose" their way to roll a dice
- each face was another way
- after a moment the ways cross themselves, and some PCs crash themselves cause they "choose" the same crossing, very fun... we laught a lot
Me: "Warning, if you made a 5 you will hit the wookie... very fast, and very hard"
PC1: "Please not a 5, not a 5 , not a 5 ... 5!! damn it"
PC2 (wookie): "s***... so what's going on?"
Me: "BOOM!! how many Dice have you for your strenght to absorb damages?"
PC1: "2D+2"
PC2: "6D"
Me: "so let them roll"

lol, unless the Wookie didn't put anything into his combat skills...
i know a player who concentrated on fluff, and 2 minutes into the game, he had to hide because he couldn't fight
