Zerran says to Corric as he heads out "If you require escort, I will come with you"

Corric looks Zerran over, wondering if the extra attention will be worth it. They are trying to stay inconspicuous, after all. But the droid would be handy if something happened. "Yeah, we'll see what the captain says," he decides.

"Corric I need someone to pick up some educational files for the kid and for Cal. Their education is important, and Cal's has been ignored long enough. Can you see what you can find?"

"I'm sure I can find something. Anything specific, or just core academics?" Corric asks.

<response>

Corric continues, "With the amount of stuff on our lists, I think it'd be best if we broke this down into two runs, Captain. The first one can be fairly casual, and we'll get all the sundries and such that everyone wanted...the stuff we plan on actually paying for. That'll give us a decent cover for scoping out the major stuff...everything we don't intend to pay for. Then we come back, get the heists planned, and go back for the good stuff. It'll be easier to steal your hull plating when we're not having to balance eight bottles of liquor for Kabakh's stores. The security droid was asking if we could use him on the shopping trip, too. Another blaster'd be nice to have around if something goes wrong, but nothing really should on this first trip---he may be more conspicuous than helpful, if you know what I mean. I was wondering if you wanted him here or with us. Your call."

<response>

"Hey, have you considered trying out that DT-12 I offered you earlier?" Corric asks.

<response>

"One last thing, Captain," Corric says. He looks a bit uneasy. "The Kid was asking if he could have a blaster. I realize that he's tougher than hull plating, but he's still just a kid. Let me know what your decision is though; it's your ship."

"Do as many trips as you need, and pay for as much stuff as you can. I'll stick with my own blaster thanks. As for Zerran, its your choice. He may be useful when you go out for your midnight shopping trip. And yeah, I told the kid he could have a blaster, but I was thinking something more along the lines of a sporting blaster, permanent stun setting."

Cal nods and says, "The mini holo cam idea is what I was thinking. They'll need to be set up on a seperate grid so they can't be accessed with the ship's computer network. That will greatly lessen the chances of the mouse droid being able to simply tap into them."

He looks at Bandon. "I don't know if there's a way to detect it specifically through the Force. I mean, I can sense Git, or Max, or Kabakh because I'm looking at them and know they have a certain resonance in the Force. But seeking out droids I've never even seen before...I don't know. Possibly; it'd take some concentration for sure. Perhaps a combined effort would do it." He shrugs, completely oblivious that Corric was trying to cover for Bandon's comment. "Oh, by the way, Corric, when you go on your 'other' shopping trip, I'm willing to help you out if you want. Just let me know if you want another body along."

"Okay, we are ready for shopping then" Dev says and lokks at the rest of the *Shopers*.

Well, buying a sporting blaster would be just one more cost, and I've already got some other blaster pistols. I could jury-rig one for the kid so that it can't fire anything but a stun blast, that would work," Corric muses. Continuing, his face begins to look troubled. "Captain, I think that our resident Jedi need to have the concept of secrecy explained to them---Cal basically just identified himself as a Force-user in front of Julan. If word gets out, to anyone, it would be...bad. Obviously."

The kid listens to what everyone is saying and then goes looking for the area where kabakh said he found the part, from there the kid will look for a crawl space to squeese into and start looking for the mouse.

(The kid does not want to catch the droid, just ask him a few questions.)

(OOC: In the cartoons teh GenDai can "reshape" their bodies to a degree by moving muscles around, etc. Would this allow me to squeese into smaller spaces than would be normal for my size? Even if painful the kid will do this.)

The kid tromps into the cargo hold and sees Kabakh looking around in the corridor just outside the bay.

(OOC-Kabakh finds all sorts of tracks made by the mouse droid. So many, in fact, that he cannot tell exactly where they end and where they begin.)

(OOC-to kid: I would consider this to be a sort of natural ability maybe akin to Contort/Escape from the newer D6 rules which falls under Reflexes which I would consider to be Dexterity in Star Wars. You'd have to make a Dex check with the Diff determined by how tight a space you want to try to get into.)

The kid will look for a crawl space as close to the bay as he can find and then try to squeeze in there. Will then start searching for the droid to chat with it. Also sending my rat to scurry around in spaces to small for me.

(OOC: Dexterity 4D, Hide 5D, Search 4D, Sneak 5D)

Kabakh looks at the tracks and he feels as if his circuits are going to melt. There's too many tracks to follow. Far too many. He'd been certain if he could only just follow the tracks theyd'd lead him to where the mouse droid is hiding.

Looking around, he decides maybe to go check the starboard hold for tracks.

(OOC: Perception again)

He enters the crawl ways and begins looking for his little buddy. His rat skitters down another side passage and disappears for awhile. Squeezing into several tight spaces, the kid searches high and low for the mouse droid. After fifteen minutes, he begins getting frustrated. His rat returns from a very small space with a small length of wire with a servo attached to one end.

The starboard hold shows fewer signs of the mouse droid's passage, but enough to elude anyone trying to track it.

*Hmmm, so the little cyber vermin hasn't been operating in here too much,* Kabakh thinks to himself. He decides to return to the lounge to see what the others are currently up to while he figures out what to do next.

The shoppers finally gather at the base of the Dream and head out for their spree. Those remaining in the ship continue their search for the mouse droid.

The shoppers make it to the main thoroughfare without problem and see various shops and restaurants and cantinas lining the streets. Imperial presence aboard the station is obvious with many stormtroopers milling about in small squads stopping the occasional passersby to check their IDs.

Back on the Dream, the search continues without much progress. The kid follows the path of the rat as far as he can but can only squeeze so much of himself through the tight passages.

((OOC- since this was the first trip, it's the 'legitimate' trip, so Cal's still on board the ship.))

Cal busies himself with setting up a number of mini holocams throughout the ship. He follows advice from Kabakh about the areas that have seen the most traffic from the little droid in the hopes of catching it soon.

Corric attempts to nonchalantly guide the group through the crowd without bumping into any stormtroopers. Ducking into one of the shops, Corric begins looking for all of the items Kabakh requested: vweilu nuts, two bottles of Whyren's Reserve, other various supplies for Kabakh (including wines, brandies, and ports). After loading up on sundries, Corric begins looking for some items for his own personal use...doubling his task as cover for scoping out establishments for future plundering. Among his purchases are parts for his DL-6H to improve the range, a satchel, and a Koromondain half-vest. After buying the satchel, he keeps an eye out for datapads left carelessly lying about, and grabs as many as he thinks he can get away with.

At one point during their shopping spree, Corric leans over to Julan and asks, "See if you can't swipe a high-end comlink off one of these sheep, would you?" Julan always was the better pickpocket.

After purchasing everything, Corric will lead the group back to the Dream/Sunset via the scenic route, to better note where they will be able to get some of the hull plating required, as well as all the other odds and ends requisitioned by the captain.
