Not sure if this is the right section.

I just bought Pirates and Privateers off ebay(not received yet), and was also looking at Stock Ships(with cards), but found a bunch of ships from it are in P&P.

Should I bother getting Stock ships too? Are there a lot more ships in either, that are not listed in the ship stat pdf here?

On a side note, is Hideouts and Strongholds any good?

The Stock Ships book would be good for you to have, especially if you like modding your own ships. That book will give you the baseline stats for different ships, then you can mod them for different characters in different ways.

That way you won't have ten different characters running ships that are all suspiciously like a certain YT-1300 we all know and love... Wink

I like it very much. It gives you idea how to create bases and how much does it cost. It's great supplement if your players want to build any kind of base or hideout.

Plus the floorplans themselves are fantastic if you have to run adventures in your bases themselves, like investigating a supply base which has mysteriously lost contact or a investigating a murder mystery in a rebel outpost, where you have to travel to various nooks and crannies of the place to search for clues and find the undercover bad guy.

Ok, let me make this clear: there are no official ships NOT listed in the Starships Stats - Revised & Expanded book! Wink

It's a great book. The floorplans are great, and can be used in many situations.

I've had Pirate & Privateers for years, and just recently bought Stock Ships. Each ship has its own deckplan laid out and detailed, which is one of the major reasons I got it. 8)

Thank you for all of the replies!

Sorry Gry, I wasn't sure.

I think for now I will try to get by without them. Though I am a flavor text junkie, so it will eat at me until i get them.

There's also several websites for deckplans for ships and such if you just want those.
Colonial Chrome
Star Wars Design Alliance
Star Wars Deckplan Alliance

But as a man who owns over 100 WEG books, I would say that if you get the chance, buy all of the "stuff" books as they have great fluff to read. Places you won't need as much thanks to Wookiepedia. I have gotten much use from the text in the Stock Ships book as well as Hideouts & Strongholds and Pirates & Privateers. And for good capital ship information, get the Far Orbit Project as it has Nebulon B deckplans and descriptions.

My writing ability has gone drastically downhill due to life stresses.

They're *FINALLY* coming back now, but are very haphazard.

Will have to see.
