Scanners used to detect weapons run a number of different scans at once; metal detection, any of the various gases used for blasters, radiation, even gunpowder and other propellants. _________________ Check out some of my games at DriveThruRPG!

Hey Jim can you let me know what we need so I can give Corric a list? |
I'm looking up what might be needed. I'll get it before they head out. _________________ Check out some of my games at DriveThruRPG!

At first I was thinking "well, that restraining bolt won't really affect Zerran", but on second thought that's not necessarily true. Zerran IS essentially a droid, the only difference is that instead of their usual electronic verbobrain, he has a human brain. The restraining bolt probably won't be able to issue commands to him, since his brain operates differently, but it should be able to freeze his movements, cutting the brain's acess to the limbs, and turn him on and off. _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

I don't think restraining bolts can be removed simply with brute force, you need the proper tools to do it, otherwise you're probably going to TK a chunk of your chest off along with the bolt. _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

Pinging darthomer...
Quote: | Turning away from the duo, Corric heads to the hatch and trots down the ramp and into the docking bay. "Hey, Bandon!" he calls towards the Besalisk. "Got a sec?" |
Alex, you could have the Kid overhear Corric asking the various crew members if they need a blaster pistol. Corric won't think to ask a child, but you could have the Kid butt in and ask for one. _________________ Arek | Kage |

I don't know, depends on how well attached they are. It did happen in Isard's Revenge that a restraining bolt was removed by force alone. Of course if I recall correctly, the droid in question was Whistler and he had a program that made restraining bolts useless against him anyway. _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!

Whistler's power was moved else where, so the effect of the electrical input was negated, but it was still affixed with a weld. _________________ The Vong have Arrived

It's looking like this won't be an easy settle, and there might be a some more heated arguments that can't end in a nice way. And I think some of the old-timers remember how Jamfke usually handles things when our inner squabbles start getting too heated, it's usually either an imperial fleet popping up to blow us away, or the hyperdrive bursts into flame. We're not in hyperspace, so... |
But we are on the Pergrine, which adds a new threat. Namely Bel Iblis's MPs showing up and throwing folks in the brig. |
I don't know...the hyperdrive exploding while in real space could pose some interesting weirdness...
And you're no longer on the Peregrine HC, you guys are on an orbital star port at Sluis Van an Imperial controlled system. HEHEHE |
I was refering to the flashback thread, Jamfke, not the current IC thread. I thought we hadn't left the Peregrine just yet in that thread. Course I don't follow it too well so I could be wrong about that.
On a different note, since Kabakh has been checking what Cal and Dev are doing with Git, did he see the playback of Git's memories? _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!
