Made this up on the fly after talking to a gamer i met in Pensicola after chatting to Falcon79..
Character history: Since being a kid, you have loved getting into junk of all kind. Whether cause of finding something to play with or from the joy in repairing others junk. After turning adult you went into the salvage operators business, but with the laws regarding it, you realized you could do better just scouting the salvage operation sites out, and get a little for yourself on the side. With the recent rise of the Empire and their war with this ‘rebellion’ your abilities have come in much use due to all the combat going on and you hope to make your joy into your business. All you need is some good co-workers
.
Personality: Loves to just tinker for the sake of it. Gets enjoyment out of finding salvage sites before others get there, but is just as happy to pick through the scraps they might leave..
Attributes:
Dex - 2d+1. Brawl parry, Dodge, Melee parry and running
Know - 3d+1. Bureaucracy, business, languages, law enforcement, planetary systems, streetwise, value
Mech - 3d+1. Astrogation, Communications, Repulsorlift operations, Sensors, Space transport ops, Starship weapons
Per - 3d. Bargain, con, forgery, hide, search
Str - 2d+2. Brawl, climb/jump, lift
Tech - 3d+1. Blaster repair, cap ship repair, computer repair, droid repair, space transport repair, starfighter repair
Equipment:
2 sets mechanics overalls, 1 full set mechanics tools, ID, Space transport that is junked out but has no weaponry, salvagers beacons, 3 sets clothes, 1200 credits standard _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

Try reading on the real life "wreckers" of old, and what they did long before there were salvage laws. I'm sure The Old Republic, Empire, and New Republic had/have guidelines, but they'd be hard to enforce in a galaxy as vast as the star wars one, thats a LOT of empty space out there. _________________ Not the droid you're looking for....... |

Besides I never did like Firefly or Serenity (if thats what your refering to). _________________ Not the droid you're looking for....... |

Really? But it was awesome.
However For a more SW example Duros aren't permitted to have weapons on their ships either _________________ Don't waste money on expensive binoculars.

I was just thinking that it might be interesting to play a character who didn't have the means by which to fight his way out of every situation. _________________ Arek | Kage |

I'm trying that now in a PbP that k21DuBie is running on my board. It's going to be interesting. |

I may have to hop over and be a fly on the wall for that, sounds worth a read.
What's the name for this template? Salvage Claim Scout, or some such? _________________ Arek | Kage |

Which is the basis i was going for with the template.. Notice he has practically nothing but defensive combat skills other than ship weaponry and brawl (for those bar fights)...
As to the name, i thought it was put in..

I like it, can't ever have enough gearhead templates IMO.
Also, from the backstory text, something tells me this is based on someone (or someones) you knew in the military _________________ "A special effect without a story is a pretty boring thing"- George Lucas |
