Hi all
After lurking around these boards for a while as a guest, I finally decided to unmask.
I used to play Star Wars about 10 years ago, and have set myself the task of running a campaign for my gaming group, seeing as our MERP campaign is about to end.
I've got a couple of questions, and hope that you'll be able to answer them, even if the answers are "No, Sorry.."
1) While I've got enough sourcebooks to keep me happy running the game, I keep seeing references to the Star Wars Adventure Journal.
Does anyone know if these are available in official PDFs, and if so, where I can purchase them from?
2) One of the things that I loved about another RPG (Until it switched editions), was the freely available Fan Magazines and Sourcebooks.
I've gone through the Fan-based books on the Tools forum - and they're excellent, but I was wondering if you could point me towards any fan-based magazines, or even towards articles in other gaming magazines (Challenge, White Dwarf, etc).
Here's hoping |

There aren't any that you can buy. In fact any type of copy is very hard to find.

West End Games went under and lost the license for Star Wars before pdfs gained any real popularity, so, no oficial pdfs of ANY WEG Star Wars material.
Really well stocked and well connected game shops and eBay are about your only hopes.

For general material, there is, as Orgaloth said, Wookieepedia. There are also a bunch of other webpages with lots of info, such as the Star Wars Holocron; just do some google searches for things like Star Wars d6 and the like.
On this messageboard, I believe under the Tools section are the invaluable fan made sourcebooks, compiled mostly by Gry. These are fantastic compilations of material, both officially created and fan-based that have made it through the tough screening process of the Rancor Pit. Download them, you'll be happy you did.
Other than that, you're on this messageboard, which, from my experience, is one of the best WEG Star Wars resources on the net. Use it well |

eBay is a good place for finding copies of the Adventure Journal, I've found several there, as well as tripping over a few at a local Half Price Books. on eBay, you may have to pay upwards of $20 per issue, but for the content within, it's worth it, they're chockful of great material. _________________ Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid. |

for the Adventure journals you may want to try www.chimerahobby.com it's where I got a lot of my stuff. They're phone # is (920) - 922 - 8338 (and yes they are in the U.S. so you'll so you will be paying a bit for shipping) they bought out a lot of WEG's old SWD6 stock and they still have some Adventure Journals left. Wish you luck in finding 'em. _________________ Not the droid you're looking for....... |

Just for knowledge - One of the gaming stores in Savannah, GA has the Adventure Journals for sale still. Still wrapped in plastic, if memory serves... for about $12US. (I think that's right) And, they also have several other gaming accessories in mint condition (still in the plastic, also)... I don't remember which ones offhand, but I could find out, if you were interested...
I have copies of them on PDF... but occasionally, having hardcopy is a good thing.. _________________ "Love like you will die tomorrow. Hate like you will live forever." - Unknown |

Not 100% sure...
it looks like they're trying their hands at an online order service, but it's gonna be a little bit before they're 100% up and running... but, since it'll be on the net... *shrugs* I'd guess so... otherwise, if you knew someone who lived relatively close, maybe you could get them to ship it to ya.. *cough*
if you wanted hardcopy, that is... otherwise... you could look for peer to peer services... or, someone that had them... *cough* _________________ "Love like you will die tomorrow. Hate like you will live forever." - Unknown |
