While kinda cool, I kinda gotta agree w/ Krayt...
it does make the page a little more difficult to load...

I'm just a bit nervous about starting the practice of putting images into signatures. I've been to some boards where everyone has to have a banner or image of some sort in their signature. It makes the board horribly difficult to read, and slow loading for people with dialup.
We already get to personalize things a bit with an avatar. And it's one of those things that isn't a huge thing if one person does it. But if we have three or four people doing it and then they post multiple times on a page it just turns into a mess. |

On one page with 20 or so posts and with everyone having a banner, it took over a minute to load on Hi-speed DSL... It took a good six seconds extra to load this page just now.
