It's the seal unit from the movie navy seals 
but it is a cool name

I saw a bit of the Rock last night and got to thinking,
a character based on Michael Bean's many military roles would be cool, eh Crell. Not that this has anything to do with Bad Karma, it just our modern military movies are a good resource for ideas in star wars, especially if you don't have experience with the real thing.
The Seals would translate well to Rebel specforce or Imperial commandos for that matter.

Yup, that's where we got the name. Navy Seals was our favorite movie at the time.

Making a guy based on Michael Beine's characters would be badass... he could also be a member/leader of an elite merc unit, or a planetary militia's elite commando squad or something like that... doesn't have to be along with the standard conflict... but I'd definately make a new all around any terrain type Rebel Spec template for the unit 
I love the movie Navy Seals... it's what got me interested in Special Forces and such...
