Worst name ever would have to be when my friend named his second character Smokey McPot...Good thing he got brainwashed by the empire and we got to kill him....even though we almost lost... |

We were playtesting a superheroes game called Beyond Mere Mortals and the campaign idea was 3rd rate superheroes banding together. We put together the Waukegan Justice Guild. The GM instructed us to make the most rag tag, oddball superheroes we could think of. We ended up with Darky McDarkerson, an angsty teenager able to create patches of darkness with a sonic attack that was readings of his own morbid poetry, he drove the Darkmobile (his mother's minivan with black magnetic strips put on the side) as long as he had a licensed driver with him as he only had his learner's permit; The Fisherman, a middle-aged man with hi-tech fishing gear and is the father of Darky McDarkerson, his vehicle is the Bassboat of Justice and it is towed behind the Dark Mobile; Dr. Big, an enormously fat man with damage resistance and the ability to grow larger, he is dependant upon Lipitor to stay alive. There was another one but I cannot remember the character. I think all three were pretty terrible names for characters. Then again, it was only fitting for the campaign. |

We had a wookie in our group named Crunchbaka. He died of radiation exposure ina couple of sessions, but the fact that he insisted on being Crunchy was just annoying. We also had an imperial officer named Captain Tom. Of course, Tom sucks when it comes to names in general _________________ Good work is the key to good fortune. Oh, so your group has the "Rule of Bob" too, huh?
For those of you who don't know the Rule of Bob, it's "if an NPC's name isn't important, he's called Bob." |

I always thought that the Imperial Consular on Bothawui had a silly name, Dandamount Pring. I got it from the Shadows of the Empire Planet Guide, so i didn't even make up the name. But ever since he appeared in my players keep going *pring!*

Waukegan, huh? That's a pretty sad state of affairs there, unless their arch enemies were the diabolical Kenzerconians. Of course, battling the audio blight that was Mancow (this is a REAL guy, non-Chicagoans) might have made for an interesting battle.
As to lame names, I gave two of those in my thread about joke characters, but here's a couple others that I have dealt with (and inflicted on others).
Chawnterbacky, the wookiee
Carter Ashwood Thomas (the middle part is the bad part), traitor to the Rebellion
Shari Verde, female Twi-lek smuggler
From the role-playing game:
Roark Garnet
From the novels:
Ploovo Two-for-One
From the Movies:
Kit Fisto (I bet that explains how his eyes got so big! )
Most all of the podracer pilots

Well, there's plenty of stupid names in the movies. No way for me to keep track of all of them. |

Yeah, specially if you're a portuguese speaker.
Off the top of my head:
- Panaka = Dumbass
- Naboo ~ Turnip
- Fode (& Beed) = F**k
- Dooku ~ "of the @$$"
- Amidala = Tonsil _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

In order to try and avoid the ridicule, both in the captions and in the dubbing, Dooku's name was changed to Dookan, here in Brazil. A silly move, I think, because it only makes the silly name more obvious when your hear one thing and read another. _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

But they didn't change the name of Captain Dumbass? |
