I had an idea the other day - We could make a IRC room for the rancor pit to chat about crap, and to basically waste time, but to awnser pressing questions that people have about the game. I am an active member on a server, and the server is set up so that you can easily make a room (and i have made many before, so i would be more then willing to set it up / manage it). That way we have a place to chat about D6 stuff, and other crap as we see fit Very Happy

There is also an applet for the server, so anyone can visit it without having to download a irc client.

Is this something that you guys would be interested in?

I'd be down with this idea.

IRC is a good Roleplaying medium as well.

I think as long as people could use it without having to download IRC, it could be a neat idea. I've never had much luck getting downloaded IRC to work on my computer, but I've never had a problem using it if I didn't have to download IRC to use it.

So I'd be for it.

Ok, so ive made a room. irc.vjtd3.com is the Server name. and #RancorPit is the room name.

you can download an IRC client or use http://chat.vjtd3.com/ to log in with an applet.

/join #RancorPit is what you type in to join the room if you dont know how Smile

I made a dice roller for the channel.

If you see Vong or Roller in the channel ltyep !dice 4 2 to roll 4D+2, type !secretdice 4 2 for it to be sent to you privatly.

finally you can type !dice 4 2 keep to ignore 1s on the wild Smile

oh yea, if you want to run a game on the server with some friends, its easy. just type /join #channel --> #channel can be anything that isint taken (it will be a temporary channel, going away when everyone has left. And all you have to do to invite the dice roller (Roller is a "bot" i have running all the time) just type /invite Roller #channel and bingo bango, you have a dice roller in your game channel Smile
