Alright. So, if you want to start getting your hands dirty, here's what we have so far on Characters:
http://download.yousendit.com/CF8B61BE5EAB277A
You can pick any stated character and write his text entry (or improve on the few existing entries, if you feel like it). The only general rule we seem to be following is writing in the past tense. The entries are supposedly written by either Jocasta Nu or Voren Na'al, but we don't worry about that too much, it's just a bit of flavour to be added here or there.
Just say which entries you're working on so we don't accidentally work on the same thing, and then post your final texts here, so people can comment on them if they'd like.
Oh, and if you have any suggestion regarding the stats themselves, don't be afraid to voice them. Or perhaps some suggestion for additional characters. _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

Do you mind if I help? Sorry for my abscence on this project I have had alot going on personally. I am really wanting to see this through. I lost everything including all the Episode II stuff as well. I will use what you have for download and pick a bio. If that is alright . Once again I appologize for my abscence, but it could not be helped. Also Gry congrats on finishing your grad. project.
Thanks

I dunno, Gry. Think we should let him help?
I'm surprised you're even asking. The two of you guys did such a great job on the first one, I kind of assumed that you're in on this one.
I'll be grading papers tonight, but I'm hoping to get a good start either tomorrow or Saturday. |

Okay, I'm assuming that you don't want a repeat of information that's already in the AotC book. For example, if there's a Jedi in the AotC, then you would only want coverage of their involvements in events between the two movies, right? |

Yes, we don't want the two books to be too redundant. I think the info from Ep2 and before can be quickly highlighted, just to provide a decent background, and then focus on the info concerning the events after Ep2, during Ep3, and whetever else might be from then to Ep4. _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

I'm going to try my hand at Aayla Secura this weekend. If you think that's too ambitious for my first go, just say so. Unless anyone says otherwise, I'll be doing some research on Wookiepedia and use that as a springboard. |

That's ok. Just one more thing. Don't hesitate to include a bit of artistic license here and there. If you have an idea to expand on a point that's not really that thoroughly covered by the official info, you're free to try your hand at a bit of creativity. _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

I found that the problem with Aayla is a matter of what to trim. I didn't realize that for someone with six seconds of screen time between two movies that she had so many volumes of material generated. Between the Databank and Wookiepedia I had to leave out a WHOLE lot to get it down to a full page (single spaced). If you want me to add more or trim more let me know, but here is the ROUGH DRAFT for Aayla Secura
Quote: |
Aayla Secura
Being one of the Jedi dispatched to Genosis to rescue Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Padme Amidala, Aayla was an integral part of the Republic’s effort from the very inception of the Clone Wars. Having been one of the few Jedi to survive the Battle of Geonosis unscathed, she immediately proved her worth in battle, and was shortly there afterwards made general of the Republic, and served in many capacities including under cover intelligence gathering, and being put in command of the 327th Star Corps.
Approximately one week after the Battle of Geonosis, Aayla began her service to the republic in a mission to Correllia, along with Ylenic It’kla. They had disguised themselves as smugglers to apprehend a Techno Union scientist carrying critical data concerning a new prototype droid circuitry. Shortly there afterwards she embarked on another undercover mission to reestablish contact with her old master, Quinlan Vos. Vos had been posing as a gunrunner on the Wheel space station in an intelligence-gathering mission which turned out to be one of the saving discoveries of the Republic army.
After finding her former teacher, they were able to use the information they had uncovered to alert the Jedi Council to the CIS plan for a formidable attack on the cloning facilities on Kamino. Aalya proceeded immediately to the planet to play a crucial roll in the three-prong defense of the world. While Aayla fended off Separatist ships from space, Republic forces, including Jedi Knight Kit Fisto were engaging the Separatist armies on land and under the water.
Having successfully driven of the CIS forces, Secura and Kit Fisto remained on the planet for some time where they shared a curiously close companionship. While on Kamino the two uncovered a plot to introduce a nano-virus capable of infecting and wiping out the Republic’s clones. The Kamino culprit was discovered and died by infection of her own virus.
Four standard months into the Clone Wars, Aayla was sent as part of a force to assist in disabling the massive droid manufacturing facility on Hypori. During this disastrous mission, Aayla had her first contact with the evil General Grevious, from which she barely escaped with her life.
She continued to serve the Republic in the Outer Rim with the assistance of her trusted clone commander Bly leading the 327th. Her missions varied in nature including investigating Confederation raids on republic supply lines, seeking out a Morgukai clone warriors allied with the Separatists, and the investigation of a crashed Confederation starship that threatened to ravage the plant life of Honoghr.
Her final mission was with her loyal Commander Bly on the planet Felucia. There she and the elite Star Corps were to liberate incarcerated Jedi from a Separatist prison. After succeeding in freeing her allies, a doomsday booby trap was activated, threatening to devastate the ecology of the planet. Her final success was to interrupt the toxin threatening to contaminate the planet’s water table. It was after having saved the planet from its demise that Commander Bly received Order 66 from Supreme Chancelor Palpatine. Without warning, Bly and his troops gunned down the valiant knight they had fought along side, and left her body among the exotic foliage of a beautiful world.

P.S.
I'm open to any and all constructive criticism. I've published articles before, and I'm used to having them ripped apart first. I'll be going back over it in a couple of days to fix style and grammatical mess-ups. |

|
|
Here's my first post on these forums.
For those of you involved in this project, I thought I should inform you that there's the fanmade Clone Wars Sourcebook out there. This sourcebook is using d20 rules, but you might be able to convert them to d6. They've been posting this sourcebook one chapter at a time at the beginning of each month. In a few days, they'll be posting the next chapter, which deals with the Republic politicians. If you haven't already, you might want to check the sourcebook out so that you can modify any current stats as well as use the stats that are there for characters who were in the Clone Wars and ROTS to create fresh d6 stats. Their website is: http://www.fandom.swnsu.com/
One question - are your stats for Padmé and Sheltay Retrac going to take into account the little "Spy Girls" job they did in Clone Wars Adventures Volume 7? Please say they will. |

Forceally, as much as we'd like to include every tidbit of info, we just don't have access to all the material. I, for one, am not into comics. So if you think this Clone Wars Adventure volume has data that should be included, would you care to explain to us what it would be? It seems this would be one of the best places for background info on Sheltay. What stats additions would you reccomend for both her and Padmé?
And are you sure it's Shaak Ti in the new video game? I've seen the concept art of the Togruta, but does it say anywhere it's Shaak? _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

That's a good start, Chesh. Aside from some minor grammatical and stylistical slips, the only criticism I have is that the write-up is missing a bit of personal info. You have concentrated solely on her history, but I think you could add a little personal description, such as personality, physical appearance, some inner-thoughts, whetever you can conjure up to paint a broader picture of the character. _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |
