Would make a great reason for a plot hook of jedi hunters, if they did... _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

In the book Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader (which wasn't very good) there is a great scene with some clone troopers and Jedi right after Order 66 goes out. Technically this is a minor spoiler if you haven't read it so I'll leave a bit of space before quoting it.
Ok thats enough. Some of the clone troopers don't want to go along with Order 66 and while talking with the Jedi the leader of the clone troopers says something like. "We're going to stand here and talk about this but if I start repeating what you say my men have orders to blast you." _________________ "You can't take the sky from me..." Wait wrong forum. |

That is way too hillarious. I'll have to use that in a game. |

Chello!
And just to point out....maybe the hand-waving is necessary in the Universe and some people know it.
Remember in Ep. 1, Watto says something like, "What are you doing waving your hands around like that? Think you're some kind of a Jedi?"

I would agree with you in pre Empire times. You're right about Watto and Anakin recognized the Lightsaber right away and knew what Qui-Gon was. I doubt it would be as recognizable to someone durring the Empire though. _________________ "You can't take the sky from me..." Wait wrong forum. |

Don't forget that the Empire destroyed historical references to the Jedi and everything that tied to them.... save the lightfoil. Keeping the lightfoil around made the old Jedi stories seem like Swashbuckling Nobles at play with charm and wit. _________________ Xynar

Wasen't the hand wave a way of distracting their mind from what you were saying? I believe they address this in 'Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter' but i can't remember since I wasen't able to finish the novel. |

It's actually been long enough that I don't remember.
Great. Now I'm gonna have to go back and reread it... |

A bit off topic, but I enjoyed that book a lot. _________________ The ability to type does not make you intelligent. |
