Out of the blue, my wife came home today from the store with DVDs of Episodes IV-VI. The ones that have the original theatrical versions on them.

I'm a lucky man.

I picked mine up a week ago. Still have to find the time to sit down and watch them. My mum was going to buy them for me, until she found out I had them already.

Humm, this is not my experience, i must say my wifey never personally picked up anything star wars, but she warned me she was doing some book shopping on an online store and offered to add EP I-III for me... ...well, sort of picking up, isn't it? Wink

Closest thing to this for me would be 1.5 years ago on my birthday when my wife bought me Operation Elrood in a bargain bin of a comics store a level below the office where she works.

I believe the only Star Wars gift I ever got (excluding from my buddies)was the "X-Wing Alliance" video game, from my ex-girlfriend. And that's because she explicitely asked "Ok, so what the heck do you want for your birthday?"

My wife makes and sells sci-fi costumes, including Jedi robes, so we're both hardcore in the Star Wars geekery. The main difference between us is that she's tolerant of the prequels and the special editions and I'm not.
