The tank hovers to a stop about 20 meters from the exhaust port.

Once down the shaft, Qassar runs as fast as he can to get to the other end of the exhaust port. Once there he will carefully scan the landing bay for any Imperial activity.

"I was told to keep it quiet, sir. With all the rabble forming up out there, Command wanted to keep from alerting any of them that we'd be working in here. I have a copy of my work order here, sir." He reaches into one of the front pouches on his utility belt and withdraws the datapad. Setting it to "Transmit" he calls up the work order he'd put together. "There's a complete listing of all personnel attached to this repair. I was detailed to keep the Wookiee in line. I'm transmitting the work order to you now."

Off the comm channel, Cal very softly says, "Luey, get ready to dive."

(OOC-I figure he can say that without being heard, since he has to be close enough to Luey to look like he's an overseer...)

Brav will follow Qassar and scope out any Imperial activity. While he does that though he will keep listening in on Cal's conversation with the tank crew.

The tank pivots and returns toward the front of the starport.

Luey and Cal quickly join the others at the bottom of the shaft.

In the tunnel below, Qassar and the others move forward. A mindless scrubber droid crosses their path as they make their way toward the central turbine room, almost tripping Dren. As they get closer to the room, the wind from the high speed fans slowly increases. The heavy scent of starship thrust exhaust and a myriad other smells nearly overpowers the crewers that rely on oxygen.

The vents leading into the turbine chamber open and close periodically to divert the exhaust down each of the six shafts leading to the surface. As the vents open toward the shaft that the crew is standing in, the wind from the turbines nearly topples the entire group. It will be a struggle to get into the chamber and past the turbines.

"Wow, cap. What an incredible smell you've discovered! I don't think I'll be able to walk forward any further with this blasted wind."

Toba tries to jump forward, but the strong wind actually lands him a good distance behind his starting point.

"Well, that's just rotten... Only one way round it."

Toba gets down on the floor and starts crawling forward, greatly diminishing the wind resistance and thus advancing much more easily.

"Look at the bright side, at least the floor is greasy..."

Dev not being bulit for this kind of labor, gets an idea.

"Crawling would greatly reduce our drag," Cal says, somewhat incredulous that his ruse worked. He's wishing he were tapped into the Force at this point, so he could sense if they were walking into a trap. "We should at least press up against the wall..." He checks to see which position is more conducive to getting through the chamber as far as speed is concerned. He also looks around to see if there are any computer terminals down here; if he can divert the wind flow, he can clear a channel for them to get safely through.

Plus, it wouldn't do for those above, if they were genuinely fooled, to note after people'd gone down into the shaft that the wind flow was never cut off...

(OOC- As an addendum to my last post, if Cal is able to redirect wind flow, he'll do so through several different routes. He'll still allow the exhaust to be carried out of the system, but he'll provide a few possibilities so the Imps won't be able to just simply zoom in on them. In addition, he'll either deactivate or falsely activate life sensors (if they happen to be in place down here) so the Imps will further be confused and the group can get away...)

Qassar looks around for the scrubber droid. He shouts over the wind to Toba,

"we might be able to use this to stop the turbine. We need to reprogram it to clean the fan."

The scrubber droid plugs along, slowly scouring the floor of the tunnel. The air begins to fill with the tang of starship exhaust and fuel vapors.

"I really don't know," Cal says, shrugging. "I think we'll be sensed no matter where we are here; heck, if they've already got our Force signature, they might be able to sense us anywhere in the system! I'd wait until we're absolutely certain there's no other alternative, or until ordered to by the Captain."
