There's the pseudo-Taoism from Truce at Bakura. No others come to mind immediately. _________________ Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid. |

There are the Dim-U monks of Tatooine, who worship the banthas. And I guess the B'omarr monks are a religion as well. _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

LOL! But I'd like to know if any of you have ever come up with your own homebrew religion, deadly, quirky or peaceful.
One of my players wanted to be a bald, robe-wearing tatooed Kwai Chang Caine, so I came up with "Order of the Green Dragon" where acolytes have to walk the galaxy helping people in need wherever they encounter them... but although they were martial arts expert and force pike proficient, they are forbidden to use any type of guns or blasters. _________________ The Enteague Sector | Cracken's Collection of Crackpots

I have been working on a religious off-shoot for a Bimm character I have developed. The idea is that the Bimm character was a monk of a rather ascetic order that worshiped (or held with reverance) water - the life giver. The order did not allow its members to endulge in the hero mthys that most Bimms love because they encourage violence and they are a non-violent sect. Well this Bimm couldn't stop reading or listening to Hero stories and fantazied a bit about being a hero himself and so he would often take to practicing staff moves in the gardens when no one was watching... Anyway this little Bimm's life had been so ascetic and sheltered that he had never tasted or ever really heard of beer (ale, lager, whatever). Anyway he gets a belly full of it a festival he stumbled into on his way to town for supplies and was enchanted by its intoxication - to him it is water (his sects holy element) in its most powerful and greatest form. After trying to convince his fellow brethern of the sanctity of beer and the need to drink it and revel in it in their worship of water - since it was the highest form of water (steam, ice, liquid, and BEER!) - the brethern cast him out and he is now a wondering monk spreading the gospel of beer. All alcohols and intoxicating liquours are worthy of use and worship but he prevers beers, ales, and lagers.
A fun religion that catches on well in many bars and cantinas. The little guy has a great stamina specializatio of "hold your booze" and amusingly has interpreted his previous sects code of non-violence to mean non-leathal violence so it is completely OK for him to beat the living tar out you with his stun rod / staff : )
It is not a fully developed religion yet but I am working on it as he goes around getting converts and establishing its practices and dogmas. _________________ "What a wonderful smell you've discovered" |

WOW!
I want in on that! Lots of Beer! All hail Beer! All hail Beer!
I bet they can use stun-sabers, but lightsabers are extreamly deadly _________________ "Your lack of faith disturbs me." - Vader |
