|
|
I was creating a character and wanted to use The pistols that Jango Fett used, the Westar 34 Blaster Pistols. What do you think that stats would be for this weapon?

Thanks

Well, it'd be bettr then a Hvy Blaster Pistol. I'd say 6D DMG, with about 2x the range of a Hvy Blaster P. _________________ "Your lack of faith disturbs me." - Vader |

Well maybe... about the same ammo as a heavy blaster pistol or even less ? |

There are rules for quickdrawing in Han Solo and the Corporate Sector, if I'm not mistaken. If I remember correctly when you're engaged in a quickdrawing contest, you divide your Blaster skill in whatever way you want, assigning part of it to drawing and part of it to shooting. Whoever rolls higher on the draw fires first, but then has to roll the actual shot to see if he actually hits his opponent. With this blaster you'd get a +1D bonus to your draw.
In other circumstances you could just consider drawing this weapon a free action. _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

Keradim,
Quickdraw means take your gun in hand, remove it as faster as you can from its holster and then shoot, like during far west duels. _________________ Phalanks

The Quickdraw rules were written for blasters, but I feel they're easily adaptable to any personal weapon skill. Certainly firearms would use the same rules and Samurai were taught a skill known as 'Iajutsu' which was essentially quickdraw with the Katana. You might want to limit its use to weapons that can be used one-handed to prevent really ridiculous abuses such as quickdrawing a rotary man-portable blaster cannon.
Even something that big might be 'quickdrawable' with an Aliens-style servo-harness rig and enough raw muscle and personal mass. A Wookiee or Esoomian, for instance. A Dathomirian Rancor pr a Kadri'ra wouldn't even need the rig! |

That would be because they'd just use the weapon as a club... |

Rancors might use it as a club, Kadri'ra are a bit smarter than that, though. |
