Let's see, you may or may not be able to count the Ta Ree from the Darkstryder campaign (though due to the nature of the world you didn't have to be force sensitive).
There was that race from the first Knights of the Old Republic game, but we don't know too much about their force traditions.
In the Wizards of the Coast books they also the Baran Do Sages (Kel Dor farseers), the Matukai (focused on using the force on their own bodies), The Socerers of Tund (don't know anything about them), the Zeison Sha, and the Killian Rangers.
Whether they were made by Wizards or were from other sources and included in the game I don't know. |

Gry, I've done a quick write up of the Fallanassi and their powers. It probably needs re-written, and needs more info such as history, as it only draws on the Cracken guide and Wizards web supplement, mostly word for word with a few corrections and notes for possible errors, but if you'd like I can e-mail it to you. |

Where the heck do these guys come from?? Did I miss them in some of the novels or are they PC generated?
I'm basically looking for ones that are more "official"... from movies or novels... not so much w/ the fan-made ones... (yet) _________________ "Love like you will die tomorrow. Hate like you will live forever." - Unknown |

Hey, Hieh, send over whatever material you manage to produce, and we'll see how we can use it in the book. My e-mail is on my profile. _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

It's in the Jedi Handbook. They're fan created and they're interesting to flip through. However, you have to question the validity of anything where they create a "blaster combat" Force power.
P.S., I'll have my game group's review of the Force Powers up soon. I would post more but my wife is kind of possibly in labor. I thought I'd slip this in to you guys while she's e-mailing the family and sending a notice to her pregnancy boards.
The short version is that Gry's latest version of Force Breach should be more or less be the finalized version. I haven't looked at the final review of the rest of them. Sorry. |

The New Essential Guide to Droids mentions a sect of Force Users called the Iron Knights. They're Shards who were taught the Force by a Jedi Master but are shunned by the Jedi Order (the master was excommunicated) because they 'don't have midichlorians'. |

Ok...
Not to be a complete pain about this, but, considering there are so many different official and fan-created force users, do we want to add them into this compilation, or work on them for another time?
I've got the "Jedi Handbook" and Cracken's. I'll gladly keep looking for more information on the ones mentioned. If people want to drop me heads ups as to where to look, I'll pull it together... _________________ "Love like you will die tomorrow. Hate like you will live forever." - Unknown |

I don't think we must set out on this quest for Force sects. This book is called Force Powers, so that's what it must contain. It's not a Guide to the Force or something like that (unless Cheshire wants to turn it into such). Besides the sections we already have for the book, the only thing I would consider adding would be official and converted powers from other sects, such as the Dathomir Witches and the Fallanassi. _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them."

Hummm... I don't know... really? Has anyone ever really wanted to make a Force-sensitive character that was not a Jedi/Dark Jedi/Sith?
I think if we went that way we might as well do a "Guide to the Force" book, with everything: Force powers, sects, lightsaber construction, fighting styles, jedi training, sith history, the works.....
Of course, as cool as that would be, it would also be a gargantuan job. _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

Personally, I love playing 'Alien Force Adepts' instead of true Jedi. The problem with doing a sourcebook on other Force Traditions is that there is so little information available on even the best known of them. Most Force Traditions would get little more than a paragraph or two, if that, using official information only. To flesh them out, we'd have to start including fan speculation.
Incidentally, I'm formally offering my services to help with the project should you guys decide to re-imagine this sourcebook as an all-encompassing Guide to the Force. |

A long time ago, in a country not so far away, a french GM worked on a "Guide to the Force" project.
The book is in french but with some translation tool one could find useful info. (and I could help to translate any unclear sentence)
There is info about Jedi, Dark Jedi, Sith, Tyia, Teepo, Inquisition, Nepherids...
There is not much, but feel free to use the book if you want : http://krapz.free.fr/La_Force.pdf |

Wow that is pretty cool! Even though my French is a bit rusty these days, it is good to know I have still got it. Just skimming your sorcebook I learned quite a bit - then again, my extra-movie knowledge is fairly limited. But still, good stuff Krapou!
Where are the Teepo from (in the literature)? The comment about their use of ranged weapons instead of the lightsabre made me think of the "Gun Kata" in Equilibrium (a Matrix-Like B movie with Christian Bale and some fun concepts) maybe it is not at all similar but was interesting to think about... _________________ "What a wonderful smell you've discovered" |
