We just need to lock down the Fan-made powers and we're done. _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

Definatly looking good.
Sorry if this was already brought up.
I was wondering though, if the Fallanassi (probably misspelled) powers would be included, since they've aparently already been in a WEG rule book.
Also, would the few Dothomir and Ta Ree spells that don't have Control, Sense, and Alter power equivalents be converted to use those rules. Just curious, as those have quite a few good ideas in them, and only need to have the difficulties and skills re-assigned for use.
Keep up the good work! |

1 - I'll be glad to, let me finish reading it over and I'll PM you all the ones I find at once, as opposed to sending you several "oh, yah... here's one..."
2 - They never really went over Fallanasi - mainly mentioned the "White Current" philosophy, and even that got about half a page, max.
3 - For Dathomiri: Each Force Skill works pretty much like it's description, except, instead of using Control, Sense & Alter, they treat each force skill exactly like that: A skill. You have Sense Life @ 3D, TK 2D+1, Absorb/Dissipate Energy 6D+2, etc..
Both Fallanasi and Dathomiri are in Cracken's Threat Dossier... _________________ "Love like you will die tomorrow. Hate like you will live forever." - Unknown |

Yeah, I thought about the Dathomir Witches, but I don't know that we should include their "powers". What do you guys think? That would certainly warrant a chapter just for them, and a whole lot of typing. And about those other sects, where are their powers presented? _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

I wouldn't worry about the Dathomir. Cracken's presents it pretty much just like I said. Their skills are pretty much just ritualized "spells" that each have their own die code. If you wanted to, you could mention that...
As for the Fallanasi, again, in Cracken's, it gives one page of Fallanasi powers, and about a page of "background" information about them.
"It is strongly recommended that gamemasters do not allow player to control Fallanassi characters. The Fallanasi are extreme isolationists and are very unlikely to become involved in the sorts of adventures that other characters would." - Cracken's p.58
Granted, I realize that some will play anyway... and you might want to put the 5 powers in...
As for the Dathomir... *shrugs* they are a little more involved.
My thought: Not to include any besides Jedi & Sith at the moment, and put together another compilation of "Alternate Force Users" at another time. _________________ "Love like you will die tomorrow. Hate like you will live forever." - Unknown |

I really don't have a clue about Fallanasi, I've not read anything about them.
When I first started on the project I thought it would be useful to include the Witches of Dathomir, but then I read the Courtship of Princess Leia and took a look at Cracken's Threat Dossier, and I'm just not sure they would be as useful.
If anyone is willing to do a write up and a description of them, perhaps in another appendix or something, I don't see why they should be excluded. And hey, if someone really wants to type all of their powers out, I'm not going to tell them no. |

About the color scheme : don't worry, I didn't even realised it was the same as in the R&E Rulebook...
An idea about Force Lightning : according to the Thrawn Trilogy sourcebook it's 1D damage for every 1D in alter. (and from TOTJ it's 1D damage for each 2D in alter)
Maybe this should be "Greater Force Lightning" power ?
Nevertheless, congratulations to you and Cheschire ! Once again, this fan book will be amazing ! |

Sorry about the double post, I'm trying to get caught up.
Yeah, sorry, I meant to put a [sic] there, but neglected to.
By the way, my players looked at the Force Powers, but decided to take them home so they had a bit more time to dedicate to playing with them. They told me that they would contact me by today on their results. |

Well, I think it would only enrich the book if we included the Dathomir and Fallanassi powers in a special chapter. However we need someone to type those up, since I unfortunately don't have time for that.
Do you think we should just remove the TOTJ Lightsaber Combat Example? Is it adding anything to the power's description? _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

BTW, for the uninitiated, the Fallanassi are mentioned in the Black Fleet Crisis trilogy.
Basically, an EU book with an alternate history, as they claim Luke & Leia's mother is a Fallanassi, and still alive. Granted these books came out YEARS before the prequels, but just the same, lots of people likely to not care for them. |

As far as the Fallanassi, I think there are a grand total of five powers attributed to them, using the standard force rules. I just recommended they be included for completeness.
I'm typing up the powers now, and am going to type up a little bit of background info using the info n the Cracken book and the Wizards web enhancement (which amusingly enough, introduced the Dopleganger power to the d20 system as a non dark-side power....gotta love the little inconsistencies between the systems ) as sources, so I'll probably miss a few things. |

As a slight parenthetical aside: Do we know how many alternate paths of the force there are? Last count, I've got at least 6 (excluding "grey").
There are: Jedi, Sith, Tyia, Jensaari, Fallanasi and Dathomir.
Those are the ones I know about... anyone have any to add? I'll try to find what I can and do some kind of write up on them as time allows...
Hieh, if you're gonna type up the Fallanasi, why not get the Dathomir, as well? _________________ "Love like you will die tomorrow. Hate like you will live forever." - Unknown |
