I just wanted to post and say that I have not forgotten about this project my home computer with all my files and bio's crashed and I lost everything. So I am posting from the local library, but I am supposed to get my computer back this weekend and I will have some bio's up by the first of next week. Thanks Gry, the stats look awesome.
Thanks

Thanks. I'm just glad we didn't actually lose any material with your computer crashing. That would have been devastating... _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

Hehe, you just never know where info might come from. Yesterday I was watching some silly interview show on TV, and it turns out the guest was a Brazilian model/actress who played Sheltay Retrac (Bail's aide) in Ep3. She mentioned she asked for a blaster for her character, so they offered her a tray full of them and she picked a huge rifle. This was of course denied her and they gave her a small pistol instead, and quickly adapted her dress to hold it. Well, I had no idea Sheltay carried a blaster before, but now I've added it to her equipment list as well as a bit of Blaster and Dodge skill. _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

Yeah, we're all packing. Even our models feel uncomfortable without the reassuring weight of a gun at their side.
...and I thought Alderaanians were supposed to be pacifists... _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

She is Winter's mom, too. I don't recall Winter having much in the way of pacifist tendencies... _________________ Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid. |

If memory serves, at that point in Alderaanian history they still have a military. The classic D6 adventure Graveyard of Alderaan centers on an old Alderaanian War Frigate. |

This may be a bit premature as an announcement but I'd like to help with the project (which I know is currently on temporary hold). At the moment, I'm spending my spare intnernet time catching up on the posts in this thread, and I'll offer any asistance that I can. Having the finished product on the Force Powers book was very satisfying, and I'd like to do more good to help the D6 community. |

Well, your timing couldn't be more perfect, Cheshire. I had put this book on hold because I had to finish my graduation project. Well, it was finally finished, presented and approved last friday, so this huge weight has been officially lifted off my back.
And now (after resting through the Carnaval), with a whole lot more free time and free mind on my my hands, I really want to get back and finish this book. I wonder what Commander Cody is up to, cause I'd really like to have him back on this. But either way, Cheshire, your help would be greatly appreciated. I thought we did a great job with the Force Powers book, and I know we can make this one a great book. And it better be, cause I know of a lot of people who are anxiously looking forward to it.
I'll look over what material I have done and see how we can share duties on this.

Gry, Congrats on finishing up your graduation project! Oh what a wonderful accomplishment and feeling!
And speaking of wonderful accomplishments, based on all of the AWESOME SW books you have worked on, I for one am stoked to hear Revenge of the Sith is back on.
Congrats on both fronts! _________________ "What a wonderful smell you've discovered" |

I've finished reading (well, skimming rather) the 50+ pages in the thread. So, I've got some idea of where the project is.
The only thing that I have in mind is a personal concern. I'd love to help with statting and write-ups for the flavor text, but if I'm going to be contributing any text, I'll insist on summarizing and adapting the information from other sources rather than cutting and pasting. I've been a published author with regular columbs and I teach classes emphasizing originality of works. For a fan book about Star Wars material I know it doesn't really matter as much, but I would feel like a hyppocite if I did the opposite of what I teach. Is that going to be a problem on the project? I'm not trying to stir the pot, I'd just rather get things laid out here before I start. |

That wouldn't be a problem at all, Cheshire. It would actually make for a much better book. We only went down the road of using occasional cut and pasting due to laziness. If you're willing to create your own original texts based on the available info, that would make this a much richer book. Sure, it takes longer, but we're in no rush.
I haven't had time to organize things, but as far as I remember, I think most everything is already stated out, what's really missing are the text entries. _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

Sweet. Just let me know where I can get started, and I'll do a bit of digging. Granted, I'm probably not going to invest in reading lots of comics or novels, but Wookiepedia and the Databank should serve as good starters.
Point me in a direction, and I'll see what I can generate. I won't be fast, but I'll get it done. |
