Just curious, what are the stats for an average trooper, and if you had some special ones (commanders, scouts and the like) _________________ The Vong have Arrived

This may be outdated, as I have the 1st Edition book-
STR:2D (3 for damage soaking from armor), Brawling 3
DEX:2D (1 from armor penalty), Blaster 4 (3), Brawling Parry 4 (3), Dodge 4(3)
Everything Else: 2D |

If I were to venture a guess, only the armor changed- it now gives +2D to phys soak and +1D to energy soak if I'm not mistaken- maybe the penalty is lower (all things that make the 'troopers even better anyway) |

I usually use the stats from the Imperial Sourcebook add a die in blaster and perhaps strength. The reason is that with their armor they are simply to crappy, unless you modify them. |

I think 2nd ed. gives them a specialty in Blaster: blaster rifle 5d. I like to use that.
And if they start to get too wimpy, stop using the armor penalties. If that fails- boost their skills. _________________ Blasted rules. Why can't they just be perfect? |

On the topic of stormtroopers, WEG has staed that stormies cannot be bribed. However, WotC wahs stated (I belive) that they cannot be bribed, blackmailed, or seduced.
Which is right? Can the stormie be blackmailed and seduced or not? _________________ "Your lack of faith disturbs me." - Vader |

My personal thought is: No... WEG used "bribed" in the very broadest of senses, including seduction and/or blackmailed. _________________ "Love like you will die tomorrow. Hate like you will live forever." - Unknown |

Of course, "can't" is pretty strong. I think they are extremely hard to be bribed/blackmailed, etc, but everyone has his price, even troopers. If you come up with a powerful enough ploy, you could break a trooper. _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

Stormtroopers are elite soliders and therefore extremly loyal to the empire. They are, however, still humans. _________________ All stats 2D, except: brawling parry: versus boxing 2D+2, melee combat: swords 3D, melee parry: swords 2D+2, languages: english 2D+1, scolar: history 3D, scolar: social studies 2D+1, brawling: boxing 2D+2, computer programming/repair 2D+1. |

true, but this is how you factor in the brainwashing that they are put through. im sure seducing might work on some, as men love the sex, but i doubt bribing would work. _________________ The Vong have Arrived

They're loyal, but they're also stupid. Bribing one is difficult, but convincing him that you're an undercover ISB agent shouldn't be. March up to one in a sufficiently high-ranking Imperial uniform and you can command them to do just about anything you like. |

Yeah, it's infinitely easier to Con them than to bribe them... Just gotta hope the dice go your way. |

And that would depend on how good of an id you have, uniform etc.. I had one group that tried that trick, using an ISB uniform they took of a dead agent, and a Compnor id....... when they saw the 2 squads draw down on them, they realised they had fubared... _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |
